Introduction of 20 t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia

This is a 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project. The main product of this project is high-tech livestock and poultry feed, which is also a kind of biological feed.

On July 13, 2019, a customer sent us an inquiry:

"Kindly send me a Proforma Invoice for Animal Feed Production. I'm about to set up a new animal feed mill and detail information on all types of equipment needed for producing poultry and livestock feed is required. Thanks for your cooperation."

In February 2021, the 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project was signed.
20T/H Animal Feed Mill in Indonesia

The original output of this animal feed production line we configured for our customers can reach 200,000 t/a. However, due to customer raw material and formula modifications, the final output of the project can reach 140,000 t/a, or 20 tons per hour.

The project has a total area of 33333m² and a construction area of 14000m². The feed factory has 50 people, including 5 managers and 45 staff. The working system is three shifts, each shift works 8 hours, and the production is 300 days per year.

It is worth mentioning that this is the 28th pellet production line we have established in Indonesia. In addition to this biological feed factory, there are also 2t/h shrimp feed factory, 10t/h cattle feed factory, 5t/h wood pellet production line, 6t /h EFB pellet plant and other projects.

Process flow of 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia

The 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project process includes raw material entering the factory, feeding and screening, crushing, mixing, granulation, cooling, decoration and packaging processes.

  1. Raw materials entering the factory:
    The raw materials for this 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project mainly include bean curd, corn, sub-flour, rapeseed meal, etc. All raw materials are packed into the factory.
  2. Feeding and initial mixing:
    soybean meal and corn enter their corresponding batching bins from the receiving pit respectively. The corn needs to be screened and impurities removed in advance.
    The raw materials in the batching bins pass through their corresponding batching controllers according to a certain proportion. Transport materials to the silo to be powdered to achieve preliminary mixing.
  3. Crushing:
    Some raw materials (soybean meal, corn) enter the crusher for crushing through the discharging valve at the bottom of the powder bin, while other raw materials (fish meal, sub-meal, etc.) do not need to be crushed.
    The material transfer and crushing processes are both closed processes. In addition to the raw materials used in the pelleting section, some soybean meal and corn will enter the raw grain extruder for expansion. After expansion, they will be cooled and packaged for direct sales.
  4. Mixing:
    The crushed raw materials enter the mixer through the bucket elevator, and then the various raw materials are fully mixed in the mixer and then enter the silo to be granulated.
  5. Granulation:
    The raw materials in the granulation bin are transported to the feed pellet making machine through the batching controller for granulation. The steam used in the granulation process is provided by a gas boiler.
  6. Cooling:
    The granulated semi-finished products directly enter the cooler and are air-cooled by the cooling fan.
  7. Screening:
    After air cooling, the particles are transported directly to the grading screen by a bucket elevator for classification. Unqualified finished products enter the crusher for re-crushing, and qualified finished products enter the finished product warehouse.
  8. Packaging:
    The finished product passes through the batcher in the finished product warehouse to provide a certain amount of finished product to the packaging scale, and then is packaged and transported to the warehouse for storage.

Wastewater:

The water used in the granulation process evaporates naturally; employees' domestic wastewater is discharged into septic tanks. After treatment in septic tanks, it is regularly cleared by nearby farmers and used as agricultural fertilizer. It is not directly discharged into water bodies.
