20T/H Animal Feed Mill in Indonesia

This is a 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project. The main product of this project is high-tech livestock and poultry feed, which is also a kind of biological feed.

On July 13, 2019, a customer sent us an inquiry:

"Kindly send me a Proforma Invoice for Animal Feed Production. I'm about to set up a new animal feed mill and detail information on all types of equipment needed for producing poultry and livestock feed is required. Thanks for your cooperation."

In February 2021, the 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project was signed.

The original output of this animal feed production line we configured for our customers can reach 200,000 t/a. However, due to customer raw material and formula modifications, the final output of the project can reach 140,000 t/a, or 20 tons per hour.

The project has a total area of 33333m² and a construction area of 14000m². The feed factory has 50 people, including 5 managers and 45 staff. The working system is three shifts, each shift works 8 hours, and the production is 300 days per year.

The main works of this 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project include:

• The construction area of raw material warehouse, production workshop and finished product warehouse is 12000m²
• The construction area of office and living buildings is 2000m²

The animal feed mill machine we configured for this customer mainly includes the following:

The 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project process includes raw material entering the factory, feeding and screening, crushing, mixing, granulation, cooling, decoration and packaging processes.

1. Raw materials entering the factory:
   The raw materials for this 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project mainly include bean curd, corn, sub-flour, rapeseed meal, etc. All raw materials are packed into the factory.
2. Feeding and initial mixing:
   soybean meal and corn enter their corresponding batching bins from the receiving pit respectively. The corn needs to be screened and impurities removed in advance.
   The raw materials in the batching bins pass through their corresponding batching controllers according to a certain proportion. Transport materials to the silo to be powdered to achieve preliminary mixing.
3. Crushing:
   Some raw materials (soybean meal, corn) enter the crusher for crushing through the discharging valve at the bottom of the powder bin, while other raw materials (fish meal, sub-meal, etc.) do not need to be crushed.
   The material transfer and crushing processes are both closed processes. In addition to the raw materials used in the pelleting section, some soybean meal and corn will enter the raw grain extruder for expansion. After expansion, they will be cooled and packaged for direct sales.
4. Mixing:
   The crushed raw materials enter the mixer through the bucket elevator, and then the various raw materials are fully mixed in the mixer and then enter the silo to be granulated.
5. Granulation:
   The raw materials in the granulation bin are transported to the feed pellet making machine through the batching controller for granulation. The steam used in the granulation process is provided by a gas boiler.
6. Cooling:
   The granulated semi-finished products directly enter the cooler and are air-cooled by the cooling fan.
7. Screening:
   After air cooling, the particles are transported directly to the grading screen by a bucket elevator for classification. Unqualified finished products enter the crusher for re-crushing, and qualified finished products enter the finished product warehouse.
8. Packaging:
   The finished product passes through the batcher in the finished product warehouse to provide a certain amount of finished product to the packaging scale, and then is packaged and transported to the warehouse for storage.

For long-term development, the customer has higher environmental requirements for this 20t/h animal feed mill in Indonesia project. Based on the customer's requirements and local objective conditions, the environmental protection projects we design for them include the following:

The water used in the granulation process evaporates naturally; employees' domestic wastewater is discharged into septic tanks. After treatment in septic tanks, it is regularly cleared by nearby farmers and used as agricultural fertilizer. It is not directly discharged into water bodies.

• A certain amount of dust-containing gas is generated when corn and soybean meal are fed from the receiving pit. The waste gas is introduced into the pulse bag dust collector for processing. The corn receiving pit and the soybean meal receiving pit are each equipped with a set of pulse bag dust collectors for processing. Emitted through a 15-meter exhaust pipe.
• The cylindrical screen/vibrating screen will generate dust during the screening process. The screening machine is a closed device. After the dust is introduced into a set of pulse dust collectors through an induced draft fan, it is discharged through a 15-meter exhaust pipe.
• The pulverizer and mixer produce a certain amount of dust during the pulverization and mixing process. The waste gas is introduced into the bag dust collector through an induced draft fan and then discharged from the 15-meter exhaust pipe.
• The dust generated during the operation of the poultry livestock feed pellet machine, air cooler, and classification screen is introduced into the bag dust collector by the induced draft fan, and then discharged from the 15-meter exhaust pipe.

• After the employees' domestic waste is collected in a centralized manner, it will be handed over to the environmental sanitation department for processing;
• Unqualified products are returned to the crushing process for utilization;
• The screened impurities generated during the production process are sold externally.

Over the 20 years to 2018 from 1998, per capita, meat consumption has grown strongly in Indonesia (by 89%). A rapid surge in the consumption of fish products is being driven by robust domestic fish production compared with other meats. Fish remains the significant source of protein in Indonesia, largely unchanged from 1998. Per capita consumption in Indonesia increased markedly with small increases in income over the period. Thus, despite the current uncertainties, the Indonesian animal feed market is poised for healthy growth during the forecast period.

The Indonesian animal feed market size reached US$ 7.9 Billion in 2022. Looking forward, many groups expect the market to reach US$ 10.6 Billion by 2028, exhibiting a growth rate (CAGR) of 4.8% during 2023-2028.

The rising demand for meat and dairy products, the growing affluence and changing dietary preferences, the increasing meat consumption, the research and development in the field of animal nutrition, the escalating awareness of the importance of animal welfare and health, and the expansion of livestock farming are some of the factors propelling the market.
