The development of biomass resources and straw resources is a strategic measure to promote energy conservation and emission reduction. It is an important aspect of promoting the development of circular agriculture and building modern agriculture. In this context, in order to meet market demand and increase corporate benefits, the client of this project decided to invest US$180,000 to build this straw pellet plant project with an annual output of 2,500 tons.

1T/H Straw Pellet Production Line in Vietnam

The 1 t/h straw pellet production line in Vietnam project covers a total area of 480m2 and is mainly made of agricultural straw and bark. , waste wood chips, sawdust, pasture, cereal grass, etc. are used as raw materials and processed into biofuel straw pellets. ​

  • Labor system and staff: This project has a labor capacity of 20 people. There is no canteen or dormitory. It works 150 days a year, one shift, and works 8 hours a day. ​
  • Power supply: The power supply of this biomass pellet production line project is uniformly supplied by the power supply grid, which can meet the power needs of enterprises and does not require a diesel generator.
  • Investigate the marketing channels and determine the type of feed to be produced. Including feed quality and output requirements, and determining the formula for feed processing.
  • Steam supply: The heat supply for this 1 t/h straw pellet production line in Vietnam project is drying heat, and the heat source is provided by a 0.5t/h steam boiler. The fuel is molded biomass straw pellets, with a total annual consumption of 200t, which can meet the heating needs of the project.

Construction content and scale

This 1 t/h straw pellet production line in Vietnam project covers an area of 3080m2, and the total construction area of the project is 2549m2. The project composition is detailed in the table below:

Environmental Engineering Wastewater Production is not drained, domestic sewage is collected through anti-seepage dry toilets, and is regularly cleared and used as agricultural fertilizer; boiler effluent is used for dust suppression in the factory area.
Exhaust gas The crushed and granulated dust is discharged through a 15m high exhaust pipe after being treated by a bag dust collector. The boiler flue gas is discharged through a 20m chimney after being treated by a bag dust collector.

Raw material processing

Straw has many components, including various celluloses, hemicelluloses and lignin. When processing straw, it is necessary to remove foreign matter and remove impurities, and at the same time separate the straw to ensure the quality of the straw.



Straw has a high moisture content and needs to be dried. After drying to remove moisture, production costs can be reduced and the density and quality of the particles can be improved.



The dried straw needs to be crushed and processed into small particles to facilitate subsequent granulation processing. Common crushing methods include blade and hammer mills.



The core step of straw granulation is granulation. The crushed straw is processed through a straw pellet machine, heated to a certain temperature and then pressed into cylindrical or spherical pellets. The granulation process is divided into two stages: shaping and hardening.



After granulation, the surface temperature of the straw pellets is high and cooling treatment is required to prevent spontaneous combustion of the straw pellets and is also beneficial to the storage and packaging of the straw pellets.



After the straw pellets are cooled, they need to be screened to screen out the straw pellets that are too large or too small to ensure the uniformity of the straw pellets.



The straw pellets processed through the above steps need to be packaged. Common packaging materials include bags and bulk.

In general, the production process of straw pellets is a comprehensive technology that includes multiple steps. The processing method of each step needs to be strictly controlled in order to produce high-quality straw pellets.

Noise The main noise sources of the project are mechanical noise and aerodynamic noise such as crushers, granulators, fans, etc. The source intensity is 75-83dB(A). By taking measures such as vibration reduction, sound insulation, and installing mufflers on fans, the noise at the factory boundary has been reduced. It can meet the "Environmental Noise Emission Standards at the Boundary of Industrial Enterprises".
