A dry ingredient route for the smaller pellet recipe

The proposed grinding base contains dried fish meal, solvent-extracted soybean meal and ground broken rice. Feed-grade cassava starch may enter according to the approved formula. These ingredients provide a practical starting point for trials; the nutritionist retains responsibility for inclusion rates and nutrient specifications.

The trial moisture window is 10–12% on a wet basis. Fish meal purchasing records should also identify fat and ash content. A damp or unusually oily delivery needs evaluation before release, even when its declared protein content meets the purchasing specification.

The retained animal feed hammer mill prepares the ingredients for secondary grinding. An initial feed-preparation target is material passing a 1 mm control sieve, subject to confirmation during trials. Magnets and an appropriate cleaning stage protect the pulverizer from tramp metal and other foreign material.

Liquid oil and process water are added downstream of this dry-grinding stage. Vitamin and mineral premixes enter the final mixer under the approved batching procedure. This arrangement keeps the pulverizer's duty focused on a defined dry base and leaves the full ration under formulation control.

SWFL90 configuration and the definition of output

The SWFL90 Ultrafine Pulverizer is proposed against a planning requirement of 1,000 kg/h of collected, conforming powder. Its published reference capacity is broader than that application point. Throughput at the required fineness must be demonstrated with the intended blend.

This size serves a limited small-pellet duty: coarser feed recipes continue through their existing route. A larger pulverizer would need matching dry-base demand, air-system capacity and downstream mixing slots.

The pulverizing rotor reduces particle size while the classifier separates material according to its behaviour in the airflow. Coarser material returns for further grinding. Feeder rate, airflow and classifier speed need adjustment together.

The 150 µm figure is a sieve aperture, with a stated passing percentage. It does not describe an average particle size or mean that every particle falls within a narrow band. The sample preparation, sieve procedure and test duration must be agreed before comparing results.

Record a batch, not just a classifier setting

A useful material test starts with traceable ingredient lots and enough blend to establish steady operation. RICHI and the buyer should record feed moisture, feeder rate, classifier setting, product temperature, air-system readings and collected product weight alongside the sieve result.

Fine powder recovered through the collection system belongs in the material balance. The return arrangement must meet the mill's hygiene and traceability requirements. Powder retained inside ducts and filters also needs accounting during recipe changes.

The trial should include the more demanding fish meal lot within the purchasing limits. A setting established on an easy-flowing cereal blend cannot establish the same output on a higher-fat protein blend.

For scheduling, 1,000 kg/h over four productive hours per day and 250 days represents 1,000 tonnes of classified meal annually. That is the fine-grinding allocation. Finished feed tonnage requires a separate balance for other ingredients, added liquids, drying losses and rejected product.

Carry the powder check through to the pellet

The intended downstream product is floating feed for juvenile hybrid catfish, including Clarias macrocephalus × C. gariepinus. The provisional finished size is 2 mm diameter and 2–4 mm length, checked after drying. The existing fish feed extruder needs suitable die and cutter settings to achieve those dimensions.

Powder trials should continue through extrusion, drying and coating. Pellet dimensions, floatability, durability and water stability are assessed on finished feed. Fine grinding supports processing, while formulation, starch cooking, extrusion conditions and drying also influence those properties. Farm growth or survival claims require separate feeding evidence.

Make the auxiliary package part of the purchase

A grinder quotation needs a defined recovery system. Fan, ducting, cyclone where specified, filter, airlocks and discharge equipment must be sized together. Their electrical loads sit outside the listed 99 kW, and a pulse-cleaned filter also needs a specified compressed-air supply.

For operating-cost comparisons, meter the complete grinding station and divide its kWh by accepted tonnes collected over the same interval.

The site review should confirm building headroom, foundation loads, rotor-service access, filter maintenance space and the route back to the final mixer. These interfaces determine whether the grinding station fits the existing workshop. Machine dimensions alone cannot establish the required working area. The review should also cover dust containment, electrical bonding and the site's dust-protection provisions.

In Cambodia's humid conditions, dry ingredient storage and protection from rainwater ingress matter throughout the circuit. Operators need visible pressure readings and a cleaning routine that prevents accumulated powder from carrying into the next recipe.

The proposed staffing arrangement assigns one operator to feeding and controls, with shared quality-control and maintenance support. Loading assistance and sampling frequency determine the final shift allocation. The electrical contractor must confirm supply capacity, protection and a controlled restart sequence for the complete station.

Delivery can be planned from Qingdao through Sihanoukville, followed by road transport to Kandal. Packing and the number of transport units depend on the agreed auxiliary package. Installation guidance, operator instruction and a wear-parts list should be identified in the supply scope.
