Recently, RICHI Machinery completed the full shipment of equipment for a new, high-end cat litter production line project in Russia—a dual-line system with a capacity of 6 tons per hour, commissioned by a local pet supplies company.
The RICHI engineering and installation team has also arrived on-site and is currently working intensively to carry out the subsequent installation and commissioning tasks.
As a daily necessity for cat-owning households, the quality of cat litter is primarily measured by key indicators such as granule uniformity, water absorption, dust control, and eco-friendliness—factors that directly impact user experience and pet health.
To address these critical aspects, RICHI Machinery provided the client with comprehensive, one-stop service support, covering key stages ranging from market analysis and product R&D pilot testing to formulation and process support, customized mold development, workshop compliance design, and the establishment of internal quality control standards for product sensory attributes.

The raw material receiving section utilizes food-grade powdered ingredients and is equipped with an independent dust removal system to effectively prevent cross-contamination.
The batching and mixing section employs flange-assembled silo bins, designed to prevent material bridging.
Furthermore, to address the common issue of insufficient water absorption in cat litter, the team further optimized the conditioning and curing process.
By precisely controlling material moisture levels and curing times, cat litter pellet machine enabled the cat litter granules to develop a uniform porous structure, thereby significantly enhancing their water absorption and odor-locking capabilities.
Regarding dust control—in addition to the independent dust removal system in the raw material receiving section—the project features dust control devices integrated throughout the entire workflow, including batching, mixing, and drying stages.
This ensures that the dust content in the finished cat litter remains well below industry standards, thereby preventing pets from inhaling dust that could trigger respiratory issues, and effectively balancing both practicality and safety.
