RICHI Completes Delivery of 10 T/H Turnkey Feed Mill Equipment for Senegal

Clicks:

RICHI Machinery has completed the equipment delivery stage for a 10 T/H turnkey animal feed pellet production line ordered by a customer from Senegal. The customer originally found RICHI through our website and evaluated several feed machinery manufacturers before choosing RICHI as the equipment and project partner for the new feed production system.

Unlike the purchase of a standalone feed pelletizer, this order covers a complete 10-ton-per-hour feed production line. At this production scale, the customer needs coordinated raw material handling, grinding, batching, mixing, pelletizing and downstream pellet handling rather than simply a larger pellet mill. With the equipment manufacturing and delivery work completed, the project has moved another step toward on-site implementation.

RICHI Completes Delivery Of 10 T/H Turnkey Feed Mill Equipment For Senegal

From Online Inquiry to a 10 T/H Turnkey Feed Mill Order

The Senegal customer first contacted RICHI Machinery after finding our feed processing solutions online. Before placing the order, the customer compared several feed machinery manufacturers rather than making a purchasing decision based on a single quotation.

That comparison is particularly important for a 10 T/H feed mill. At this scale, differences between suppliers extend far beyond the price of the main feed pellet machine. Process design, equipment matching, manufacturing capability, automation options, layout planning, installation support and the ability to coordinate a complete production line can all affect the final project.

The customer ultimately selected RICHI to supply the 10 T/H animal feed pellet line. The cooperation then moved from project communication and equipment configuration into manufacturing and, subsequently, the delivery stage shown in the project photos.

For buyers comparing turnkey feed mill suppliers, this project also illustrates why the equipment list should be evaluated as a system. A lower quotation is not necessarily a lower project investment if important processing, conveying, dust-control or finished-product handling equipment has simply been omitted.

10 T/H Changes the Scale of Feed Mill Planning

A 10 T/H feed production line requires substantially different planning from a small farm-scale feed system. Hourly capacity needs to be translated into daily raw material consumption, finished-feed output, storage requirements and the operating capacity of every major processing section.

At the nominal design rate, a 10 T/H line corresponds to approximately 80 tons of feed during an eight-hour production period. At 16 operating hours, theoretical output reaches approximately 160 tons per day. If the plant operates for 20 hours, the corresponding theoretical output is approximately 200 tons per day.

Actual production will depend on operating time, equipment utilization, formula changes, pellet specifications, raw material characteristics, maintenance and production management. Nevertheless, these figures show why a 10 T/H project cannot be planned around the pellet mill alone.

The customer needs sufficient raw materials to sustain continuous production. Receiving and storage also need enough capacity to prevent ingredient supply from restricting the line. On the other end of the process, finished-feed bins, packing and dispatch arrangements need to handle tens or potentially hundreds of tons of feed during a production day.

Raw Material Planning for a 10 T/H Feed Production System

The historical project information identifies this as an animal feed pellet production line but does not provide the Senegal customer's exact formulas or ingredient percentages. Those details should therefore not be invented as confirmed facts about this project.

For a feed mill of this scale in Senegal, however, the engineering design needs to accommodate the customer's actual combination of energy ingredients, protein sources, by-products, minerals and premixes. Depending on formula availability and commercial purchasing arrangements, feed manufacturers may work with materials such as maize, millet, sorghum, wheat bran, rice by-products, oilseed meals and other approved feed ingredients.

The processing route for these materials is not identical. Whole grains normally require grinding, while many meals and bran-type ingredients can enter the batching system without passing through the same size-reduction process. Minerals and micro-ingredients may represent much smaller percentages of a formula and therefore require appropriate dosing and mixing control.

For a 10 T/H commercial-scale line, ingredient variety can also influence the number and capacity of raw material bins. A plant producing several formulas needs enough separation between major ingredients to change production recipes efficiently.

This is why customers requesting a 10-ton-per-hour feed mill quotation should provide the formula or at least an ingredient list. The same nominal 10 T/H output can result in different grinding capacity, bin configuration, dosing systems and overall equipment arrangements.

Equipment Matching Behind a 10 T/H Turnkey Feed Line

A complete animal feed pellet production line consists of several connected processing sections. For a 10 T/H project, each section needs enough effective capacity to support the overall production target.

The exact equipment list depends on the customer's raw materials, formulas, finished-feed specifications, automation requirements and plant conditions, but the engineering logic normally covers the following major functions.

  • Raw material receiving and cleaning: receives bulk or bagged ingredients and removes unwanted impurities before downstream processing where required.
  • Grinding: reduces grains and other materials requiring size reduction to a particle condition suitable for the intended feed formula and pelletizing process.
  • Ingredient storage and batching: provides separate storage and controlled weighing of major formula components.
  • Mixing: combines the weighed ingredients before conditioning and pellet production.
  • Conditioning and pelletizing: prepares the mixed feed and forms it into the required feed pellets.
  • Cooling: reduces the temperature of pellets leaving the pelletizing section before subsequent handling.
  • Screening: separates fines and loose particles from acceptable finished pellets.
  • Finished-feed storage and packing: prepares the finished product for bagging, storage or dispatch according to the customer's business model.
  • Conveying and dust control: connects the individual sections and supports cleaner, more stable plant operation.

For customers comparing 10 T/H feed mill equipment prices, differences in these supporting systems are one reason quotations from different manufacturers may vary significantly even when the stated hourly capacity looks identical.

Why a 10 T/H Line Cannot Be Sized Around the Pelletizer Alone

The feed pellet mill is a core machine, but its rated output does not automatically become the actual output of the complete factory.

If the grinding system continuously supplies less material than the pelletizing section requires, the line cannot maintain the planned production rate. If batching and mixing cycles are too slow, the pellet mill may wait for material. If the cooler, screen or finished-feed conveying system is undersized, a downstream bottleneck can restrict production even though pellet formation itself is stable.

At 10 T/H, these mismatches become increasingly important because a relatively small percentage of lost utilization translates into a significant amount of feed over a full working day.

RICHI therefore considers mass flow between individual processing stages when configuring a turnkey feed mill. Equipment selection also needs to leave reasonable operating margins instead of assuming every machine will continuously operate at an ideal maximum output.

Different Feed Products Require Different Production Decisions

The old project description broadly referred to poultry, livestock, fish and pet feed under one feed production line category. In actual engineering, these products should not be treated as interchangeable.

Conventional poultry and livestock pellet feeds can share many common process sections, but formula composition, grinding requirements, pellet diameter and production parameters can still differ according to animal species and growth stage.

A feed manufacturer producing chicken feed, for example, may require different pellet or crumble specifications for different growth stages. Cattle, sheep or other livestock feeds can involve different formulas, fiber levels and pellet requirements.

Aquatic feed and pet food may require substantially different processing routes and equipment, particularly where extrusion, higher grinding fineness, drying, coating or other specialized operations are involved. RICHI therefore does not assume that a conventional 10 T/H livestock or poultry pellet line can automatically produce every type of fish or pet food without process changes.

Clarifying the customer's actual product portfolio before manufacturing is an important part of correct feed mill configuration.

What a Senegal Feed Producer Should Confirm Before Equipment Manufacturing

For a project at this capacity, the design should reflect not only the target hourly output but also how the customer intends to operate the plant after installation.

  1. Confirm the main feed products and target animal species.
  2. Establish the major raw materials, approximate formula ranges and ingredient supply methods.
  3. Determine the required finished-feed form and pellet specifications.
  4. Calculate expected daily production from the planned shift system and operating hours.
  5. Match raw material receiving and storage capacity to actual daily consumption.
  6. Determine the required number of batching bins and level of formula automation.
  7. Match grinding, mixing and pelletizing capacities rather than sizing each machine independently.
  8. Plan cooling, screening, finished-feed bins and packing around the real downstream flow.
  9. Check workshop dimensions, equipment elevation requirements and maintenance access.
  10. Confirm power supply and other utilities before the final layout and installation stage.

Completing these steps before manufacturing reduces the risk of discovering after delivery that the customer's building, ingredient handling method or production schedule does not match the equipment configuration.

Turnkey Feed Mill Equipment Reaches the Delivery Stage

After the Senegal customer selected RICHI Machinery and the project moved through the required preparation and manufacturing stages, the 10 T/H feed line equipment reached delivery.

The delivery photos show equipment associated with the project as it was prepared to leave the manufacturing stage. For a turnkey order containing multiple machines and supporting components, delivery preparation is more complex than shipping one standalone feed pelletizer.

Equipment and components need to be organized so that they can subsequently be identified and installed according to the project layout. The relationship between equipment manufacturing, packing, delivery and installation becomes increasingly important as the number of machines in the complete production system increases.

What Buyers Should Compare Between Turnkey Feed Mill Suppliers

The Senegal customer compared several feed machinery manufacturers before choosing RICHI Machinery. For other buyers making the same decision, comparing only the final quotation value can hide substantial differences in project scope.

A more useful comparison starts by checking whether each supplier is quoting the same production process and equipment boundary. One proposal may include ingredient bins, automatic batching, dust collection and packing, while another may exclude some of these systems and therefore appear less expensive.

Buyers should also compare whether the proposed crushing, mixing, pelletizing, cooling and conveying capacities are actually coordinated. Motor power alone is not enough to determine whether a complete feed production line will achieve the required operating performance.

Layout design and future maintenance also matter. Equipment needs sufficient operating and service access, while wear parts and routine maintenance points should be considered before the machines are installed inside the building.

Finally, overseas customers should evaluate what happens after equipment manufacturing. Installation guidance, commissioning assistance, operator support, spare-parts planning and technical communication can be as important to project implementation as the machinery itself.

From Equipment Delivery Toward Feed Mill Installation

Delivery is an important project milestone, but it is not the final objective of a turnkey feed mill. After the machinery reaches the customer, individual equipment sections need to be installed and connected according to the process layout before the complete system can enter commissioning.

At this stage, equipment positioning, conveying routes, electrical connections, operating access and the relationship between upstream and downstream machines need to follow the project design.

Commissioning then moves the focus from individual equipment operation to coordinated production. Feed flow, batching and mixing cycles, pelletizing conditions, cooling performance and downstream handling need to be adjusted so that the complete plant can operate as a system.

Operator familiarization is also important. A 10 T/H line requires production personnel to understand normal start-up and shutdown sequences, formula management, process monitoring, routine maintenance and the handling of abnormal operating conditions.

RICHI Supports Feed Mill Projects Beyond Equipment Delivery

The delivery of this 10 T/H turnkey feed mill equipment marks another stage in RICHI Machinery's cooperation with the Senegal customer. The project began when the customer found RICHI online, continued through manufacturer comparison and project discussions, and subsequently moved into equipment manufacturing and delivery.

For RICHI, supplying a complete feed line means connecting process design, equipment selection and manufacturing with the customer's actual production plan. The appropriate configuration depends on ingredients, formulas, feed products, capacity, operating hours, automation level, site conditions and future development requirements.

If you are comparing suppliers for a 5 T/H, 10 T/H or larger feed mill, send RICHI Machinery your raw material list, approximate formulas, target animal species, pellet specifications, required hourly capacity, operating schedule, workshop dimensions and desired packing method.
