Final Production Test Completed on 6 T/H Bagasse Pellet Line for Mexico

RICHI Machinery has completed the final production-stage equipment test for a 6 t/h biomass pellet project destined for a sugarcane-processing region in Mexico.

The customer plans to convert bagasse into 8 mm industrial biomass fuel pellets, creating a more concentrated and transportable product from a residue that is bulky and can contain substantial moisture when it leaves sugar processing.

The latest factory milestone focused on one question that cannot be answered by checking the bagasse pellet mill alone: can the main sections of the production system operate in the intended sequence before the equipment is shipped?

Bagasse Makes Water Removal Part of the Capacity Calculation

The customer's finished production target is 6 t/h, but the upstream wet-material flow can be considerably higher.

Bagasse requiring drying carries water that will not remain in the finished pellet.

As moisture is removed, total material mass falls. The drying and upstream conveying sections must therefore be evaluated against the incoming material condition, not merely the finished pellet tonnage.

This relationship was one of the principal process considerations before the project entered manufacturing.

The Latest Test Followed Material Flow Through the Equipment Sequence

Factory testing checked drive operation and the coordination among feeding, conveying, pellet production and downstream handling equipment.

Particular attention was paid to whether one section responds correctly when the following section starts or stops.

The rotary dryer itself will ultimately be commissioned against the customer's actual bagasse condition in Mexico, where real incoming moisture and local operating conditions can be measured.

The factory stage verifies the equipment and control basis; it does not replace on-site material commissioning.

Supplementary Wood Residues Remain an Operating Option

The customer may introduce suitable clean untreated wood-processing residues when available.

RICHI Machinery has not assigned a permanent bagasse-to-sawdust percentage to the project.

A fixed ratio would be difficult to justify because material availability, moisture and particle condition can change over time.

Instead, the approved process allows compatible prepared biomass to enter the production system within the project's operating conditions.

Mexico Project Now Moves Toward Packing

Following completion of the current test work, machines will pass through final identification and packing.

Site preparation in Mexico is progressing separately.

Once the equipment arrives, installation will reconstruct the material route from bagasse preparation through drying, pelletizing, cooling and screening.

Only then will the customer begin establishing the settings required for its actual residue supply.

For the Mexican project, the factory test closes one of the final manufacturing-stage tasks. The next challenge will no longer be inside RICHI's workshop—it will be proving the 6 t/h production system with local bagasse at the customer's plant.
