Egypt Rabbit Feed Plant Completes First Stable Full-Shift Production Run

A 5 t/h rabbit feed plant in Egypt has completed its first stable full production shift, extending the project beyond the short trial batches used during initial commissioning.

The factory is producing 3–4 mm rabbit feed pellets from formulas built around alfalfa meal, wheat bran, barley, corn, soybean meal and corresponding mineral and vitamin ingredients.

The latest run gave the customer's operators an opportunity to see how the plant behaves after several hours of continuous production—not just during startup.

Early Shift: Ingredient Flow Settles into Routine Production

At the beginning of the run, operators concentrated on maintaining stable supply from ingredient storage through batching.

Rabbit formulas contain a significant fibrous component.

Alfalfa meal and bran do not move through bins in exactly the same way as denser ground grain, so discharge behavior remained one of the operating points under observation.

Once batching stabilized, the production team shifted its attention downstream.

Mid-Shift: Pellet Condition Remains Consistent

Samples were taken during production rather than only from the first successful batch.

Operators checked physical pellet condition and the amount of loose material returning from the screening section.

The objective was to determine whether product consistency changed as equipment temperature, ingredient levels and operating time changed.

No single sample was treated as proof of a successful shift.

The full operating period provided the more useful picture.

Later Shift: Bin Replenishment Tests Production Continuity

A commercial animal feed factory cannot stop simply because an ingredient bin needs replenishment.

During the extended run, material handling continued while upstream ingredient supply was managed.

This allowed the customer to observe the relationship between storage, batching and continuous downstream production under conditions closer to normal daily operation.

Shift Review Moves from Machines to Operator Decisions

At the end of the run, RICHI engineers reviewed the production observations with the Egyptian operating team.

The discussion focused less on basic machine functions and more on how operators responded when feed flow or product condition changed.

That distinction matters as the project approaches full handover.

The rabbit feed plant has already demonstrated that it can manufacture rabbit pellets. The current goal is to make stable production a routine operating result rather than an event that occurs only during commissioning.

The completed full-shift run represents a practical step toward that goal and gives the Egyptian customer a stronger operating basis for regular commercial feed production.
