Brazilian Poultry Group Adds 20 T/H Feed Mill in New Production Expansion

A Brazilian poultry enterprise is moving forward with a 20 t/h feed mill expansion designed to increase internal production of broiler feeds and reduce pressure on its existing manufacturing capacity.

RICHI Machinery is carrying out detailed engineering for the new production system after confirmation of the customer's expansion plan.

The project will handle corn and soybean meal as major ingredients together with cereal by-products, oils, minerals, amino acids and premixes for starter, grower and finisher feeds.

Because the new mill is being added to an operating poultry business, engineering begins with a different question from a greenfield factory: what already exists around it?

Existing Operations Set the Boundaries for the New Line

Truck movement, ingredient receiving, storage, power supply, finished-feed transfer and maintenance access already occupy space at the Brazilian site.

The new equipment must fit into this operating environment without creating unnecessary conflicts with current production.

RICHI is therefore reviewing the expansion interfaces before final equipment positions are fixed.

A technically correct poultry feed production line can still become difficult to operate if trucks cross the wrong production area or maintenance access is sacrificed to save floor space.

The Expansion Is Being Designed Around Broiler Production Rhythm

The customer's feed demand follows the needs of its poultry operation.

Starter, grower and finisher products are produced in different volumes and at different times.

Selected starter products may require crumbling after pellet production, while later-stage feeds can follow a different finished-product route.

The new mill must therefore respond to a production schedule rather than simply manufacture one product continuously.

20 T/H Capacity Requires Balance Across the Factory

Increasing feed pellet machine capacity alone would not solve an existing production bottleneck if grinding, batching or finished-feed handling remained undersized.

Current engineering work is checking the complete relationship among major sections.

The design target is to prevent one part of the new line from repeatedly waiting for another during normal broiler-feed production.

Actual output will still vary with formula, pellet diameter and product route.

Automation Will Link Recipe Control with Material Routing

The expansion also gives the customer an opportunity to strengthen formula and production management.

Batching, mixing and downstream routing will be coordinated so that the selected feed formula follows the intended production path.

Ingredient accuracy is particularly important for micro components used in much smaller quantities than corn or soybean meal.

Automation does not eliminate the need for operators, but it can reduce the number of manual decisions required during routine formula changes.

Final Engineering Precedes Equipment Manufacturing

The Brazilian project is now approaching the point where the final layout and technical interfaces can be approved.

Once that work is complete, RICHI will release the principal equipment for manufacturing while the customer continues corresponding site preparation.

Unlike a standalone new factory, this 20 t/h animal feed factory project will ultimately be judged by how well it becomes part of an existing poultry production system. That integration remains the central engineering task as the expansion moves forward.
