Bangladesh 12 T/H Duck Feed Production Line Moves into Main Equipment Manufacturing

Manufacturing has started for a 12 t/h complete duck feed production line developed for a Bangladeshi commercial feed producer expanding beyond its existing poultry-feed portfolio.

The customer is targeting feeds for growing and meat ducks supplied to commercial farms. That immediately makes this project different from another generic chicken feed mill. Formula structure, pellet diameter, waterfowl feeding characteristics and the availability of locally traded rice-processing by-products all influence the production plan.

Three Feed Programs Are Included in the Initial Plan

The customer provided several representative formulas during engineering review. One grower-feed reference uses approximately 48–55% maize, 12–18% rice bran or rice-polishing fractions, 18–24% soybean meal, 3–6% other protein or cereal by-products, with oil, limestone, phosphate, salt, amino acids and premix making up the remaining proportion.

Those percentages are a project reference rather than a universal duck-feed recommendation. Actual formulations will be adjusted by the customer's nutrition team according to bird age, ingredient analysis and market prices.

The factory is being designed for:

• starter feed where a smaller finished particle is required;
• grower pellets;
• finisher pellets for commercial meat-duck farms.

Instead of installing a line that can only make one pellet size, RICHI has reserved the operating flexibility required for different dies and product programs.

12 T/H Is the Main Commercial Production Class

The principal grower and finisher products are planned around approximately 3–5 mm pellets. Starter products may use a smaller pellet or crumble route according to the customer's final feeding program.

Actual hourly output will change with formula, pellet diameter, grinding fineness and conditioning requirement. The 12 t/h figure therefore represents the main design capacity rather than a promise that every SKU runs at precisely the same output.

Project Configuration

Rice bran and similar light by-products also require more attention to bin discharge than dense maize. RICHI Machinery is therefore matching storage geometry to ingredient behavior instead of copying a cereal-only silo design.

The Customer Wanted Capacity Without Losing Formula Flexibility

The animal feed factory project could have been simplified by reducing the number of ingredient bins and using more manual feeding. That would lower initial equipment count, but it would also make frequent formula changes more labor-intensive.

For a commercial feed producer expecting multiple duck-feed SKUs, RICHI recommended maintaining separate storage and controlled batching for major ingredients. This increases production flexibility and gives the customer room to adjust formulas when maize, soybean meal or local by-product prices change.

The same design also avoids oversizing the entire plant. Ingredients that already meet the required particle condition can bypass unnecessary grinding, reducing avoidable power consumption.

Finished feed will initially be packed mainly in 25–50 kg agricultural sacks for farm and distributor channels. Space and conveying interfaces are being retained for future bulk feed loading if larger contract farms justify the investment.

The project expands RICHI's search coverage into duck feed production line, duck feed pellet machine plant, 12 t/h poultry feed production line in Bangladesh, commercial meat duck feed manufacturing equipment, rice bran duck feed production plant, and complete waterfowl feed processing line.

Main equipment manufacturing is now moving from the grinding and batching sections toward pelletizing, cooling and finished-feed handling.
