In July 2025, RICHI MACHINERY, the world's leading supplier of granule processing and complete solutions, once again ushered in an important cooperation milestone: the company successfully signed three 10 tons/hour air purifier granule production line projects with a large environmental protection technology group in the United States, with a total contract value of more than one million US dollars.
This project is a new breakthrough for RICHI's layout in the North American market, and it also sets another example for the extension of the global air purification material industry chain and efficient processing.
With the improvement of global environmental awareness and increasingly stringent air quality management requirements, the application scenarios of air purifiers are constantly expanding, from industrial emission control to indoor air purification, and then to new environmentally friendly building materials. A variety of air purification materials such as activated carbon, mineral adsorbents, deodorants, formaldehyde purifiers, etc. are rapidly developing in the direction of granulation, modularization, and functional compositeness.
Granulation not only greatly improves the specific surface area and adsorption efficiency of air purification materials, but also significantly improves the convenience of storage, transportation and delivery, which is conducive to precise use in various environmental protection scenarios.

The American customer who signed the contract this time is a well-known local environmental protection technology company, focusing on the research and development and production of new air purifier products, which are widely used in home, medical, industrial and automotive fields.
After a number of new products are launched on the market, the customer plans to build 3 efficient, intelligent and highly automated air purifier particle production lines to meet its rapidly growing market demand.
When contacting RICHI for the first time, the customer clearly put forward three core requirements for the new production line:
Combining customer needs and the physical properties of diversified raw materials (activated carbon powder, mineral powder, composite adsorbent powder, etc.), the RICHI design team tailored a complete line solution from automatic mixing, precise granulation, rapid cooling, precise screening to intelligent packaging, and provided customers with a full-process intelligent control system to ensure the coordinated operation and flexible scheduling of the three production lines.
In order to meet customers' stringent requirements for production capacity, energy consumption, environmental protection and particle consistency to the maximum extent, the three air purifier granule production lines delivered by RICHI this time fully integrate a number of mature technologies and innovative optimizations in process design. The core links include:
Air purifiers with different functions often require multiple raw materials to be accurately mixed in proportion. RICHI provides customers with a multi-bin automatic batching system and a double-shaft paddle mixer. The raw materials are automatically put in after accurate weighing, and are evenly stirred through efficient mixing equipment to ensure that each component is evenly dispersed to avoid fluctuations in purification effects due to ratio errors.
Advantages: Mixing uniformity ≥ 95%, high degree of automation, effectively shortening mixing time, and improving the production capacity of the entire line.
The mixed air purifier powder enters the RICHI customized ring die granulator through a closed conveying system for molding. Different from traditional feed pelleting, this type of purifier particles has higher requirements for specific surface area, porosity and mechanical strength. RICHI pelleting machine adopts adjustable mold design, which can flexibly switch particle diameter and density to meet different product specifications.
Advantages: high pelleting forming rate, complete and uniform particle appearance, and crushing rate less than 2%.
During the pelleting process, the material will generate heat under high pressure, resulting in high particle temperature and large fluctuations in water content. For this reason, RICHI provides customers with a countercurrent cooler, which uses cold air to exchange with high-temperature particles in reverse to quickly cool down to room temperature, effectively preventing the particles from moldy and agglomerating in the later stage.
Advantages: high cooling uniformity, stable particle moisture content, suitable for subsequent long-term storage.
The cooled pellets enter the vibrating screen or rotary screen, and the oversized or undersized particles are separated through multiple layers of screens. The unqualified part will automatically return to the pelleting link for secondary pelleting. Qualified products go directly to the finished product warehouse to ensure the consistency of the particle size of the factory products.
Advantages: The qualified rate of products is over 98%, the screening efficiency is high, and the waste of raw materials is greatly reduced.
The screened air purifier particles enter the fully automatic packaging machine through the automatic weighing and metering system, and the bags are quickly sealed and sewn according to the packaging weight set by the customer, and neatly stacked. RICHI can configure automatic wrapping machines and robot stacking systems according to customer needs to further improve the automation of the packaging line.
Advantages: Greatly reduce labor costs, improve delivery efficiency, and enhance the overall intelligence level of the factory.
