Thailand 10-12TPH organic fertilizer plant project

In July 2025, RICHI MACHINERY, an internationally renowned manufacturer of complete sets of feed and organic fertilizer equipment, once again received good news: the company successfully signed an organic fertilizer pellet production line with an annual capacity of 10-12 tons/hour with a large agricultural product processing company in Thailand, with a contract value of up to US$370,000.

This is another masterpiece of RICHI's expansion in the Southeast Asian market after several animal feed and forage pellet production lines, and it also provides strong equipment support for the resource utilization and sustainable development of agricultural waste in Thailand.

Origin of the customer: Turning waste into treasure with cassava processing by-products and starch sludge

Thailand is a world-renowned cassava producing country, and the export volume of cassava and its starch products ranks among the top in the world all year round. However, the cassava processing process will produce a large amount of cassava residue (cassava peel, cassava residue) and starch production sludge. If not handled properly, it will not only occupy land, but also easily cause environmental pollution and waste of resources.

The Thai customer of this cooperation is a local cassava starch production enterprise with the largest annual production scale. For many years, it has been committed to exploring how to realize resource utilization, recycling and value utilization of cassava processing by-products, reduce processing costs, and create new economic benefits.

After multiple rounds of comparison with multiple equipment suppliers, the customer decided to introduce RICHI's mature and stable organic fertilizer granule production process and build a modern production line that can produce powdered organic fertilizer and granular organic fertilizer at the same time.

In the customer's first consultation with RICHI, he clearly stated:

"I am interested in this type of machine. I will need the production line with capacity around 10 tons per hour. The main ingredient we will use is cassava peel and water sludge from cassava starch."

After understanding the customer's core needs, RICHI immediately organized a professional technical team to tailor a complete set of efficient, environmentally friendly and intelligent organic fertilizer granulation process solutions based on the characteristics of cassava residue and starch sludge.

One production line, two product forms, flexible to adapt to diversified markets

The organic fertilizer production line signed this time can not only produce standard granular organic fertilizer, but also flexibly switch to produce powdered organic fertilizer, meeting customers' diversified supply requirements for different downstream markets, different soil requirements, and different crop fertilization methods.

  • Powdered organic fertilizer: suitable for rapid spreading or as a base material for compound fertilizer and formula fertilizer.
  • Granular organic fertilizer: convenient for long-distance transportation and mechanized fertilization, high market acceptance, and higher added value.

This flexible product form switching capability also provides great development space for customers to expand export markets and broaden product lines in the future.

Adapt to local conditions and scientifically match processes and equipment

Unlike common poultry and livestock manure raw materials, cassava residue and starch sludge have the characteristics of high fiber content, high moisture content, high sugar content, and easy fermentation.

In view of these raw material characteristics, the RICHI engineering team, based on many years of experience in organic fertilizer projects, has developed a complete process from crushing, weighing, mixing, stacking and fermentation to granulation, drying, cooling, screening and packaging, which not only ensures the organic matter content and fertilizer efficiency of the final product, but also maximizes the production efficiency and automation level.

The core process links of the entire production line include:

  1. Raw material crushing
    The cassava peels and starch sludge from the cassava processing line are first sent to the crusher by a forklift for preliminary crushing to reduce the particle size of the material, creating conditions for subsequent mixing, fermentation and granulation. RICHI specially matches heavy-duty crushers for high-fiber raw materials. The knives are wear-resistant, the rotors are reasonably designed, the crushing is uniform and the energy consumption is low.
  2. Stacking and weighing of crushed materials
    The crushed raw materials are temporarily stacked in place, and the forklift will send the materials into two sets of 6 cubic meter weighing buckets for accurate weighing as needed. The weighing system uses high-precision sensors to ensure accurate formula and stable measurement.
  3. Conveying and mixing
    The weighed materials enter the double-shaft or single-shaft high-efficiency mixer through a belt conveyor, and are fully mixed with necessary auxiliary materials (such as fermentation bacteria, auxiliary materials) to form a uniform fermentation base material. RICHI mixing equipment adopts a spiral blade or paddle structure, which can achieve high uniformity mixing in a short time, effectively improving the fermentation efficiency.
  4. Fermentation tank stacking fermentation
    The mixed raw materials are sent to the aerobic fermentation tank by a forklift for stacking fermentation. The fermentation tank is equipped with a turner or crawler turner, which regularly turns the pile to replenish oxygen, maintains the appropriate state of fermentation temperature and humidity, accelerates the decomposition of organic matter, inhibits pathogens and eggs, and effectively removes odors.
  5. Secondary weighing, crushing and screening after fermentation
    The fermented mature organic fertilizer semi-finished products need to be weighed again and sent to the secondary crusher in batches for deep crushing to ensure uniform and dense particles during granulation. The crushed materials are screened by a drum screen to remove large impurities and incompletely fermented residues to ensure the stable quality of the finished organic fertilizer.
  6. Organic fertilizer granulation
    The qualified materials after screening enter the organic fertilizer special granulator and are extruded by the ring die. RICHI organic fertilizer granulator is designed with adjustable molds and pressure for high-fiber and high-humidity raw materials to ensure high molding rate, dense particles, beautiful appearance, not easy to break, suitable for long-distance transportation and storage.
  7. Drying and precipitation
    The moisture content of newly made organic fertilizer particles is relatively high. In order to achieve suitable storage and packaging conditions, the particles need to be quickly precipitated through the drying cylinder. RICHI organic fertilizer dryer adopts large air volume and multi-return design, fast drying speed, high heat utilization rate, and dust removal system, which is green and environmentally friendly.
  8. Cooling and shaping
    The dried particles enter the cooling equipment for cooling and shaping, avoiding the high-temperature particles from getting damp and mildewing in the bag, ensuring the particle strength and storage and transportation safety.
  9. Finished product screening and packaging
    The cooled granular organic fertilizer passes through the screening equipment again to separate qualified particles and debris, and unqualified particles return to the granulator for secondary processing to minimize the waste of raw materials. The final finished granules are automatically measured by the packaging scale and sent to the bag sewing machine for sealing and packaging, which is convenient for warehousing and shipment.

Intelligent and automated, helping customers reduce costs and increase efficiency

The entire production line is equipped with a PLC control system in key links to realize the automatic linkage of weighing, mixing, conveying, granulation, drying, cooling and other processes. Operators can monitor the parameters of each link in real time through the central control system, greatly reducing the intensity of manual labor and improving production management efficiency.

Customers can flexibly configure supporting equipment such as automatic compost turning machines, automatic packaging machines, and automatic dust removal systems according to their own needs to further improve the automation level of the entire plant.

The organic fertilizer industry is not only an important support for the high-quality development of agriculture, but also an important means to achieve the reduction, resource utilization and harmlessness of agricultural waste.
