RICHI Completes Installation of 3-4 T/H Broiler Feed Mill in Malaysia

RICHI Machinery has completed installation of a 3-4 T/H broiler feed production line in Malaysia. With the main processing equipment and supporting sections now installed, the project is moving from construction and equipment assembly toward system checks and production preparation.

The customer had previously visited RICHI to inspect the manufacturing facility, equipment and project capabilities and to discuss the proposed plant configuration with the technical team. The resulting project was developed around commercial broiler feed production, with the process designed to support both pellet production and the different finished-feed requirements that can occur across broiler growth stages.

A 3-4 T/H Plant Built Around Broiler Feed Production

Broiler feed production requires more than converting mixed ingredients into pellets. The processing system needs to support consistent formula preparation, appropriate particle size, uniform mixing and stable pellet production while allowing the customer to manufacture feed specifications suitable for different stages of the broiler production cycle.

The 3-4 T/H capacity positions the plant as a small commercial feed mill rather than a simple farm-scale pelletizing system. At this production level, upstream and downstream equipment needs to remain balanced so that grinding, batching, mixing, pelleting, cooling and finished-feed handling can operate as a coordinated process.

Pellet and Crumble Processing Adds Flexibility

One important consideration in broiler feed manufacturing is the required physical form of the finished feed. Depending on the feeding program, younger birds may receive smaller particles or crumbled feed, while later growth stages can use appropriately sized pellets. This makes downstream product sizing an important part of a broiler feed plant.

A properly configured chicken feed pellet production line can produce pellets and incorporate crumbling where required. Rather than manufacturing every broiler feed product at one fixed physical specification, the plant can support a more practical production program for different feed stages.

Feed Consistency Starts Before the Pellet Mill

The feed pellet mill is only one part of the quality-control chain. Grain particle size influences mixing and pelleting behavior, while accurate ingredient proportioning and uniform mixing help maintain formula consistency from batch to batch. Conditioning and pelletizing then determine how the prepared mash is converted into the required pellet form.

After pelletizing, cooling removes excess heat and helps stabilize the finished pellets before screening and subsequent handling. If crumble feed is required, the product can be reduced to the appropriate physical form before final screening. Installation Completion Is Followed by Production Preparation

With equipment installation completed, attention now shifts to verifying the plant as a complete operating system. Mechanical connections, conveying routes, motor rotation, electrical controls and equipment interlocks need to be checked before continuous material is introduced.

2. Check motors, electrical systems and operating direction.
3. Test conveying and material-transfer routes.
4. Run individual processing sections before linked operation.
5. Test the complete line with material.
6. Adjust operating parameters around the customer's actual broiler feed formulas.

3-4 T/H Creates a Practical Small Commercial Production Scale

At nominal capacity, the plant corresponds to approximately 24-32 tons of theoretical production during an eight-hour shift. Actual output will vary with formulation, finished-feed specifications, pellet diameter, changeovers, operating efficiency and maintenance conditions.

This scale also requires the customer to coordinate ingredient inventory and finished-feed movement with the processing line. Grain, meals, premixes and other formula ingredients need to be available according to the production schedule, while finished feed must move efficiently toward storage, packing or dispatch without restricting upstream production.
