Waste Foods Fertilizer Making Machine in Bahrain: FZLH250 application for mature food-waste compost, 6 mm pellets, salt checks and small production campaigns.

A landscaping contractor buying compost pellets needs a batch number, a useful analysis and clear application guidance. Consistent shape helps handling, but the material must also suit the soil where it will be used. Those requirements guide this illustrative application of a waste foods fertilizer making machine in Bahrain.
The customer scenario is a small organic-waste processor serving food businesses around Manama, with processing at an industrial site outside the city. Its existing operation composts and dries accepted residues. The proposed purchase is one FZLH250 organic fertilizer pellet machine to introduce 25 kg bags for local landscaping contractors and nurseries alongside loose compost sales.
Name:
Waste Foods Fertilizer Machine
Country:
Bahrain
Date:
2026
Capacity:
500–700 kg/hour
Model:
FZLH250
Main Motor Power:
22 kW
Electrical design basis:
400 V, three-phase, 50 Hz
Pellet diameter:
6 mm
The proposed product is mature compost formed into 6 mm pellets, with a target length of 8–15 mm. Buyers would incorporate it into soil under product-specific application guidance. The mill gives the processor control over physical form; nutrient declarations come from laboratory analysis of the finished material.
Batch release considers organic matter, nutrients, pH, maturity, relevant hygiene indicators and contamination. A plant-response assessment can help establish suitability for the intended use. The product description and application guidance must match those results.
Bread and prepared-food residues can introduce sodium and chloride. The collection agreement therefore identifies acceptable sources and excludes brines and heavily salted leftovers. Compost testing includes electrical conductivity, with sodium and chloride investigated where the feedstock warrants it.
Results are compared using the same laboratory method. Pelleting does not remove these salts, and drying removes water while salts generally remain in the solids. A uniform pellet cannot substitute for checking the product’s suitability for the buyer’s soil and irrigation conditions.
The initial collection programme concentrates on identifiable plant-based streams:
Clean shredded landscape residues provide structure during composting. Their addition follows moisture, aeration and composting requirements. The processor records each source and batch composition instead of relying on a fixed food-waste recipe to establish fertilizer value.
The existing process must produce mature, stable compost meeting its hygiene acceptance criteria before material is released for pellet preparation. Mechanical pressure and frictional heat in the fertilizer granulator machine are not treated as a validated composting or sanitation stage.
Drying and milling bring the accepted compost into a manageable pressing condition. The first trial uses approximately 18% moisture on a wet basis. Clumps are broken down, with a provisional preparation target of material passing a 3 mm test sieve and separate inspection for elongated fibres.
A representative sample must establish feeding behaviour, die compression and roller settings. The arch-breaking feeder helps material leave the hopper, and the forced feeder supplies the pressing chamber. Neither feature makes uncontrolled wet scraps a suitable direct feed.
| Item | Reference specification or application target |
|---|---|
| Equipment | One FZLH250 fertilizer pellet mill |
| Main motor | 22 kW |
| Arch-breaking feeder | 2.2 kW |
| Forced feeder | 0.75 kW |
| Combined listed motor power | 24.95 kW, excluding auxiliary systems |
| Ring die inner diameter | 250 mm |
| Published fertilizer output reference | 1,000–1,500 kg/hour; not a food-compost performance guarantee |
| Application feed-rate target | 500–700 kg/hour of prepared compost, subject to trials |
| Budgeting feed rate | 600 kg/hour |
| Pellet dimensions | 6 mm diameter; target length 8–15 mm |
| Electrical design basis | 400 V, three-phase, 50 Hz; confirm site connection |
The 6 mm die establishes diameter; the cutter controls length. Another diameter requires a different die. Screened fines are returned at a controlled rate, with recycled material kept separate from the net production record.
The working plan allocates 100 campaigns annually, each with four productive pressing hours. At 600 kg/hour, that represents 2.4 tonnes per campaign and 240 tonnes of conditioned feed annually. Compost and dryer records must confirm that this quantity is available.
At 18% incoming moisture, those 240 tonnes contain 196.8 tonnes of dry solids. A 14% finished moisture target corresponds to approximately 229 tonnes of pellets before dry-matter losses. Around 11 tonnes of water require removal. Drying and cooling trials must establish that reduction; it is not attributed automatically to the press.
This campaign schedule suits the limited product introduction. A larger machine would need additional prepared compost and sales to justify its capacity. Collection tonnage alone cannot establish the required press size because composting, drying and screening change the available mass.
The installation review follows the existing rotary dryer and mill through the feed bin, pellet press, cooling, screening and bagging points. Missing finishing equipment is identified separately. Foundation loading, lifting arrangements and die-removal access follow approved drawings.
Cooling tests record intake-air temperature, humidity, pellet temperature and residence time. Airflow and holding time are matched to the material and required packing condition. If summer conditions prevent the agreed packing temperature and moisture from being reached, the finishing arrangement or production hours need review.
Pellets meet the agreed moisture and temperature conditions before filling. Temperature is checked within the pellet mass. Trial bags are checked for condensation, caking, odour changes and breakage during representative storage. Packaging and covered storage must protect the product from moisture uptake.
Staff planning uses one trained press operator with shared packing support. Electrical assessment includes starting demand, auxiliary loads and equipment suitability for the site’s heat. The 24.95 kW total covers only the listed motors; drying energy is assessed separately.
The supply quotation defines drawings, commissioning assistance, operator guidance and spare dies and roller shells. Shipment planning can assess Qingdao to Khalifa Bin Salman Port, followed by inland delivery. Routing and handling arrangements are confirmed when booking.
