Production Process

Step-by-Step Workflow

  1. Dewatering. Wet okara (75-80% moisture) passes through a centrifuge, reducing moisture to 65-70%.
  2. Hammer milling. Dewatered okara is milled to uniform particle size for consistent extrusion.
  3. Conditioning. Steam is injected at 50 kg/h (2.5 bar) to heat the mash to 85-90°C, denaturing proteins and eliminating odor.
  4. Extrusion. The conditioned mash is forced through the ring die, forming 4mm cylindrical pellets.
  5. Drying. Pellets are dried to 8-10% moisture using a rotary dryer or fluid bed system.
  6. Cooling & packaging. Dried pellets are cooled, screened for fines, and bagged.

After one year of operation, the extruder processes 1.5 tons of dewatered okara daily into 0.5 tons of dry litter. Annual output reaches 150 tons, plus an additional 30 tons from a second shift.
