1 T/H EFB Fiber Wood Straw Pelletizer For Sale Vietnam

OVERVIEW

A biomass producer in southern Vietnam selected one RICHI MZLH420 EFB Fiber Wood Straw Pelletizer for Sale Vietnam to add a dedicated densification stage to an existing agricultural-residue processing workshop. The customer already had straw shredding, wood-residue grinding, drying, conveying and finished-pellet cooling equipment, so the immediate requirement was one ring die pelletizer rather than another complete biomass pellet production line.

The biomass pellet project uses locally available rice straw and clean wood-processing residues as its regular feedstocks, while processed EFB fiber can be evaluated as a supplementary material when it is available through regional biomass traders. The MZLH420 uses a 90 kW main motor and provides approximately 1–1.2 T/H of biomass pelletizing capacity. Prepared material is normally reduced to approximately 3–5 mm and conditioned to roughly 10–15% moisture before entering the pellet mill. The customer's main finished product is approximately 8 mm industrial biomass fuel pellets.

Why the Customer Chose One MZLH420

The company wanted to increase the value of agricultural and wood-processing residues without committing immediately to a much larger multi-pelletizer plant. Its upstream workshop could already receive, shred, dry and grind different biomass materials, but loose straw and sawdust still had low bulk density and were less convenient to store, transport and meter into industrial fuel systems.

One MZLH420 gives the customer approximately 1–1.2 T/H of pelletizing capacity while allowing the existing preparation equipment to remain in service. At eight effective operating hours per day and 300 production days per year, the machine provides approximately 2,400–2,880 tonnes of theoretical annual pelletizing capacity before maintenance, changeovers and material trials are considered.

This scale is suitable for a small commercial biomass operation that wants to stabilize raw-material preparation and fuel-pellet quality before considering a second pelletizer or a larger production line.

The 1–1.2 T/H capacity range refers to correctly prepared fibrous biomass rather than raw straw bales, fresh EFB or coarse wood chips. Practical output varies with bulk density, ash content, fiber structure, moisture, die resistance and the percentage of each material used in the blend.

Rice Straw Is the Most Relevant Agricultural Residue in the Project

Rice straw is particularly realistic for a southern Vietnam biomass project because the Mekong Delta generates large quantities after each harvest. The customer receives baled straw from surrounding agricultural areas and uses it as one of the main non-wood materials in the fuel-pellet program.

Bales first pass through opening and coarse shredding. Long stems cannot enter the MZLH420 directly. After coarse preparation, the straw is dried where necessary and hammer-milled to approximately 3–5 mm before storage in the pelletizing buffer section.

Straw quality still varies with harvest season, soil contamination and storage method. Ash can rise significantly when bales contain soil or sand, so raw-material inspection is important before the material enters a commercial fuel blend.

Wood Residues Provide a More Stable Pelletizing Base

The second regular raw-material stream comes from Vietnam's wood-processing sector. Clean sawdust, shavings and suitably reduced residues from acacia, rubberwood or other untreated wood-processing operations can provide a relatively consistent base material for pellet production.

Sawdust that already meets the required particle size can bypass unnecessary coarse crushing, while chips and larger offcuts require size reduction before fine grinding. The target for the MZLH420 remains approximately 3–5 mm.

Wood residue can also help stabilize a mixed biomass formula when straw properties change seasonally. The exact percentage is determined from real feedstock tests rather than fixing a permanent ratio such as 50% EFB, 30% straw and 20% wood.

How EFB Fiber Fits a Vietnam Project

EFB fiber requires a different sourcing strategy. Vietnam is not treated as a major local EFB-producing country in this project. When the customer evaluates EFB, the material is sourced as processed fiber through regional biomass supply channels rather than described as residue collected from nearby Vietnamese palm oil mills.

Fresh empty fruit bunches from a palm oil mill normally contain high moisture and cannot be fed directly into the MZLH420. They require shredding or fiber separation, moisture reduction and fine grinding before pelletizing. For this project, only processed EFB fiber that can be brought into the required approximately 3–5 mm and 10–15% moisture window is considered.

This also means EFB is a supplementary material rather than the feedstock used to justify the entire Vietnam project.

Different Materials Need Different Preparation Routes

The EFB wood pellet mill receives a relatively standardized feed, but the materials reach that condition through different upstream processes. Rice straw starts as long, low-density stems and therefore needs bale opening, coarse shredding and fine grinding. Wood sawdust may require only screening and moisture adjustment, while coarse wood residues first need chipping and hammer milling. Processed EFB fiber may require additional drying and fiber-size control depending on how it is supplied.

The common target before pelletizing is approximately 3–5 mm material with controlled moisture around 10–15%. This standardized inlet condition is more important to stable pellet production than forcing every raw material through exactly the same preparation equipment.

Moisture is adjusted from actual pellet-forming behavior rather than treated as one exact universal number. Too much moisture can reduce forming stability, while excessively dry fibrous material can increase friction and make pellet formation more difficult.

Why the Project Produces 8 mm Fuel Pellets

The customer's actual product is approximately 8 mm industrial biomass fuel pellets. This diameter provides a practical balance between material throughput, handling and the requirements of the intended industrial boiler customers.

The MZLH series biomass pellet mill can use other die sizes, but the project does not switch between animal feed, bedding and biodegradable packaging pellets. Those applications have different raw-material, hygiene, formulation and performance requirements.

The MZLH420 in this case is a biomass fuel pelletizer. Pelletizing increases bulk density and changes the physical form of the residues; it does not increase the intrinsic calorific value of the raw material. Fuel quality still depends on feedstock composition, moisture, ash and other combustion-related properties.

No Feed Conditioner Is Required for This Biomass Pellet Route

The MZLH420 biomass pellet machine configuration differs from an SZLH animal-feed pellet mill. The biomass material enters through an arch-breaking and forced-feeding arrangement rather than a steam conditioner used for compound animal feed.

This distinction is important when processing straw, wood fiber or EFB. The project relies on upstream moisture preparation, grinding and controlled feeding rather than steam conditioning designed around nutritional feed formulas.

If the material is not correctly dried and sized before it reaches the pelletizer, the feeder cannot compensate for large chips, long straw or wet EFB fiber.

Cooling and Screening Complete the Fuel Pellet Process

Fresh pellets leaving the ring die remain warm and mechanically less stable than the final product. They therefore pass through the customer's existing cooling section before screening.

Cooling brings the pellets toward a stable temperature for storage, while screening removes loose fines generated during pelletizing and handling. Qualified 8 mm pellets then move to storage or packaging for industrial biomass customers.

The complete project route is therefore raw-material sorting → material-specific size reduction → drying or moisture adjustment → fine grinding to approximately 3–5 mm → MZLH420 pelletizing → cooling → screening → finished fuel-pellet handling.

Vietnam Has Strong Rice and Wood Residue Resources

Southern Vietnam gives the project access to two feedstocks with a much stronger local basis than EFB. The Mekong Delta is the country's dominant rice-producing area, while Vietnam also has a large wood-processing and planted-forest economy capable of generating sawdust, shavings and other clean processing residues.

This combination allows the customer to operate mainly on locally available straw and wood material while retaining the technical flexibility to test other fibrous biomass when commercial supply is available.

Shipping the MZLH420 to Southern Vietnam

The EFB Fiber Wood Straw Pelletizer for Sale Vietnam is prepared for export from Qingdao, China, with Tan Cang–Cat Lai used as a practical container gateway for a southern Vietnam project before inland delivery to the customer's biomass workshop.

Before shipment, RICHI reviews the customer's grinder output, dryer capacity, buffer-bin volume, electrical supply, feeder arrangement, pellet discharge elevation, cooler capacity and screening system. These checks confirm that the surrounding equipment can support the 1–1.2 T/H pelletizer rather than creating a bottleneck immediately before or after the machine.

A 1–1.2 T/H EFB Fiber Wood Straw Pelletizer for Sale Vietnam

This EFB Fiber Wood Straw Pelletizer for Sale Vietnam project uses one RICHI MZLH420 with a 90 kW main motor to produce approximately 8 mm industrial biomass fuel pellets. Local rice straw and clean wood-processing residues form the regular feedstock base, while processed EFB fiber can be tested as a supplementary regional material when suitable supply is available.

All materials are prepared to approximately 3–5 mm and around 10–15% moisture before pelletizing. For another biomass producer considering an MZLH420, RICHI Machinery needs the raw-material sources, annual availability, incoming moisture, particle size, ash level, required pellet diameter, target T/H and existing drying, grinding, cooling and screening equipment before confirming the final configuration.
