3–5 T/H Chicken Manure Recycling Pellet Machine in Slovakia

An organic fertilizer processor in eastern Slovakia uses one FZLH350 pellet machine to form 6 mm fertilizer pellets from stabilized poultry-litter compost.

3–5 T/H Chicken Manure Recycling Pellet Machine in Slovakia

OVERVIEW

A regional organic fertilizer producer in eastern Slovakia selected one FZLH350 Chicken Manure Recycling Pellet Machine in Slovakia to add a controlled pelletizing stage for stabilized poultry-manure compost. The plant collects chicken litter from nearby farms, processes it through biological stabilization and material preparation, then forms commercial fertilizer pellets for arable farms, horticultural users and local distributors.

The customer already had composting areas, screening, crushing, mixing, moisture adjustment, cooling and packing equipment, so the purchase remained a standalone pelletizing addition rather than a complete fertilizer line. The FZLH350 provides about 3–5 T/H reference capacity on properly prepared material, which suits a regional processor operating in planned fertilizer campaigns instead of continuous high-volume production.

The Project Starts with Stabilized Poultry Material, Not Fresh Manure

Fresh chicken manure is not sent directly from poultry houses into the ring-die machine. The plant first stabilizes the material through controlled composting or another compliant treatment route so biological activity, odor, moisture and physical structure are brought under control. Litter containing straw or wood bedding is handled as part of that managed compost stream rather than treated as ready-to-pellet feedstock.

This distinction matters because drying and pelletizing solve different problems. Drying can reduce water content, while biological stabilization addresses active manure decomposition and sanitation requirements. The chicken manure pellet machine then performs mechanical densification near the end of the process. It does not create nutrients, sterilize fresh manure or correct an unstable composting stage.

The customer also avoids a permanent manure-to-straw-to-sawdust percentage. Poultry litter varies by bedding type, flock management, storage and composting method, so each production campaign begins with material analysis and physical assessment. Additional cereal fibre or clean untreated sawdust is used only when the fertilizer formulation and processing condition justify it.

The FZLH350 organic fertilizer pellet machine combines a 37 kW main drive with a 2.2 kW anti-bridging feeder and 0.75 kW forced feeder. This feeding arrangement helps move low-density composted material toward the ring die, but it does not make long straw, wet litter or large compost clods acceptable. Screening and size reduction remain necessary before the prepared blend reaches the machine.

The 3–5 T/H figure describes the forming section, not incoming fresh-manure treatment or guaranteed finished-plant throughput. Actual output varies with compost maturity, moisture, particle distribution, fibre content, die specification and feeding stability. The customer therefore logs tonnes per hour by fertilizer grade instead of assuming that every 6 mm product will run at the top reference rate.

Wheat Straw, Wood Bedding and Compost Need Separate Preparation Logic

Eastern Slovakia gives the customer access to cereal-growing areas as well as poultry farms, so wheat or barley straw can appear in litter or enter as a separate carbon-rich material. Long straw is reduced before final mixing because coarse fibres can bridge in the feeder and disturb die loading. It is used for carbon balance and structure when appropriate, not described as an automatic binder for every fertilizer recipe.

Wood bedding can also be present in poultry litter, but the plant controls its share because excessive woody material can dilute nutrient concentration and alter pelletizing behaviour. Only clean untreated wood residues are accepted for this route. Painted, laminated or adhesive-bonded woodworking waste is excluded, since pellet formation does not make contaminated material suitable for agricultural fertilizer.

After stabilization, mature compost is screened and oversized lumps are reduced before blending. Moisture is then adjusted from actual feeding and forming behaviour rather than one permanent 18–20% target. Material that is too wet can produce soft pellets and unstable flow, while an overly dry mix can create dust and higher compression resistance inside the ring die.

How the Chicken Manure Recycling Pellet Machine in Slovakia Fits the Process

  1. Chicken litter and approved agricultural organic materials are received and inspected.
  2. Fresh manure-bearing material undergoes biological stabilization before fertilizer finishing.
  3. Mature compost is screened, and oversized lumps or long fibres are reduced where required.
  4. Qualified materials are proportioned and mixed to the intended fertilizer specification.
  5. Moisture and feeding behaviour are checked before the FZLH350.
  6. The ring-die machine forms the prepared blend into 6 mm fertilizer pellets.
  7. Warm pellets are cooled, screened and transferred to storage or packing.

The Chicken Manure Recycling Pellet Machine in Slovakia operates only after the biological and physical preparation steps are complete. That boundary keeps the single-machine project realistic: the FZLH350 fertilizer granulator machine improves the final form of a prepared fertilizer blend, while composting, nutrient formulation, moisture control and contaminant management remain separate responsibilities in the plant.

Cooling is matched to the instantaneous discharge of the pelletizer rather than average daily tonnage. Warm pellets need enough time to lose process heat before they enter bags or bins, and screening removes loose fines after cooling. A persistent rise in fines is treated as process feedback because moisture, particle preparation, die condition or conveying can all affect finished-product integrity.

Six-Millimeter Fertilizer Pellets Match the Intended Market Better Than 8–12 mm

The main commercial product is set at 6 mm diameter. Research on granular organic fertilizers commonly evaluates 4 mm and 6 mm pellets because these sizes work with fertilizer-spreading equipment, making 6 mm a credible field-use specification for this project. The machine can physically produce larger pellets, but equipment capability alone is not a reason to make 8, 10 or 12 mm the default product.

Pellet length is controlled by cutter setting and operating condition, so the project does not invent one fixed cylinder length without a buyer specification. Diameter and length are physical characteristics only. A 6 mm pellet does not automatically contain more nutrients, release nutrients at a specific rate or produce a better crop response than another size made from the same fertilizer blend.

The plant verifies fertilizer value from representative analysis of the actual product, including the nutrient declaration and any contaminant limits required for its market route. Whether a product can be marketed as an EU fertilising product or used in organic production depends on composition, treatment, documentation and applicable rules, not on the FZLH350 or the fact that the material has been pelletized.

Dust, Winter Storage and Utilities Affect the Pelletizing Section

Dry mature compost and finely prepared straw can create dust around crushing, transfer and screening points, so the plant uses enclosed handling and suitable extraction where required. Housekeeping is important around the pelletizer and cooler because accumulated organic dust can interfere with sanitation and maintenance. The machine itself does not eliminate the need for controlled dust management in the surrounding process area.

Slovak winter conditions also affect storage and feeding. Frozen or snow-contaminated compost should not be pushed directly into the pelletizing section, and material moved from unheated storage into a warmer building can develop condensation. Mature compost is therefore kept covered and protected from precipitation, while finished pellets are cooled fully before enclosed storage and bag stacking.

The 37 kW main motor is only part of the connected load. Anti-bridging and forced feeding, conveyors, crushing, cooling, screening and dust extraction add their own demand, so the customer checks transformer capacity, motor starting and cable sizing for the whole operating section. Maintenance clearance around the ring die and feeder is also reserved before the machine is positioned.

Logistics and the Next Expansion Decision

Slovakia is landlocked, so imported machinery enters through a European seaport and continues inland by rail or road. Koper is one practical gateway for Central European cargo, but final routing depends on carrier service, package dimensions and the forwarder's plan. The project therefore avoids fixed shipping days, customs periods or claims that one port is mandatory for every Slovak customer.

A second pelletizer is considered only when mature compost regularly waits ahead of the FZLH350 and the crusher machine, mixer machine, pellet cooler, screener, packing system and warehouse still have reserve capacity. If another section is already full, adding ring-die capacity would simply move the bottleneck. Operating hours and material accumulation are reviewed before the next investment is selected.

For another buyer evaluating a Chicken Manure Recycling Pellet Machine in Slovakia, RICHI Machinery would review litter type, bedding material, stabilization route, mature-compost moisture, particle condition, target fertilizer analysis, required 4–6 mm pellet specification, hourly demand, annual sales, cooler and packing capacity, electrical supply and available workshop dimensions before confirming the machine and die setup.
