A commercial biomass fuel producer in the United States added one RICHI SKLF20×20 wood pellet cooler to an existing wood pellet production line operating at approximately 10 T/H. The plant already had wood receiving, size reduction, drying, fine grinding, pelletizing, screening and packaging equipment, but its existing cooling section had become a constraint as pellet production increased.

A biomass processing company in Kaduna State selected one RICHI MZLH420 millet straw pellet mill in Nigeria to develop a small commercial fuel-pellet business using locally available agricultural residues. Millet straw is the primary raw material, while corn stalks and selected clean wood residues can be introduced when the customer needs to adjust feedstock availability or pellet behavior.

A commercial equine forage processor in Idaho added one RICHI SFSP56×40 teff grass hammer mill in USA to produce controlled-particle-size teff hay for horse-feed products. The business manages its own horses and also supplies processed forage to boarding facilities, specialty horse owners and regional equine customers, giving the grinding section enough commercial throughput to justify an industrial 37 kW hammer mill.

A large compound feed manufacturer in Saraburi Province upgraded one of its poultry feed pelleting sections with two RICHI SZLH558 ring die pellet mills. The factory produces approximately 500,000 tons of compound feed annually for commercial livestock customers, with broiler and layer feed representing an important part of its product portfolio.

A fruit snack processor in Washington State installed one RICHI DHG-1000 apple chip belt drying machine in United States to expand its production of dried apple chips.

For this feed cooperative near Herning in western Denmark, the bottleneck was not pellet production. The existing feed mill could already manufacture the required pig feeds, and much of the cooperative’s high-volume farm supply continued to move through bulk delivery. The problem was the smaller but commercially important bagged-feed section, where an aging weighing and filling machine was becoming increasingly difficult to keep stable.

A commercial pig producer in Paraná, Brazil, purchased one RICHI SZLH350 cassava feeds pellet machine to upgrade an existing on-farm feed mill. The farm already had ingredient storage, a hammer mill and a batch mixer, but part of its grower-finisher feed was still supplied as mash. As the company increased its use of locally produced cassava meal, dust, segregation and inconsistent physical handling became more noticeable.

The British customer did not abandon its artisan dog-treat identity simply because demand had outgrown hand production. The real decision was to separate two products that had previously been grouped under the same word: traditional flat oven-baked biscuits and crunchy extruded dog treats.

The South African recycler was not looking for a machine that could turn compressed bottle bales directly into finished recycled plastic pellets. The immediate problem was farther upstream. Irregular post-consumer bottle bales were arriving faster than the existing pre-processing section could open and reduce them, creating unstable feeding into the plant’s sorting and secondary size-reduction equipment.

The South African customer did not purchase a larger hammer mill simply because the cattle operation wanted “finer hay.” The real problem appeared after the farm began producing part of its own supplemental cattle feed. Opened hay bales still contained long stems, compressed knots and uneven fibre that could not move consistently through the existing mixer and pelletizing section.

The Nigerian customer did not install a fertilizer granulator to compress fresh pig manure immediately after it left the farm. The project was built around a different problem: a regional organic fertilizer processor in southwestern Nigeria already collected manure and agricultural residues, composted them in batches and sold part of the stabilized material as loose compost, but powder products were difficult to transport, dusty during handling and inconvenient for dealers that preferred bagged granular fertilizer.

The Vietnamese customer did not purchase two pellet machines because crop straw suddenly becomes a complete livestock feed after compression. The commercial problem was more practical. Rice straw and maize stover were available seasonally in large volumes, but loose material occupied too much storage space, was difficult to transport between collection areas and cattle farms, and could not be metered as consistently as a densified roughage product.
