Malaysia 3.5 T/H Activated Carbon Pellet Forming Line Completes Mechanical Installation

Mechanical installation has been completed for a 3.5 t/h activated-carbon-related pellet forming project in Malaysia, and the site is now preparing for electrical checks and material commissioning.

The customer works with prepared carbonaceous powder that has already passed through the upstream carbon-production processes required for its own product.

RICHI Machinery's scope begins at the controlled handling, mixing and mechanical forming stage.

The project will produce mainly 3–4 mm cylindrical carbon pellets.

RICHI Scope Starts After Carbon Powder Preparation

The distinction between carbon activation and pellet forming is important.

RICHI Machinery is not responsible for the customer's upstream activation chemistry in this project.

The installed equipment handles the prepared carbon powder together with approved binders and corresponding process ingredients before mechanical formation and downstream handling.

This keeps the machinery scope aligned with what the line is actually designed to do.

Fine Carbon Powder Changes the Site Environment

Prepared carbon material can generate substantial dust if transfer points are poorly controlled.

The installation therefore pays particular attention to enclosed conveying and dust-management positions around feeding and mixing.

Keeping the working area cleaner is not only an appearance issue.

Fine powder loss can also affect housekeeping, material yield and maintenance.

Binder Distribution Will Be Checked During Commissioning

The prepared carbon powder requires suitable binder distribution before stable cylindrical pellets can be formed.

Too little effective binding can weaken the product. Uneven addition can create inconsistent forming behavior.

The customer's actual material and binder system will therefore be used during trial production to establish practical settings.

Wear Points Are Being Inspected Before Electrical Startup

Carbonaceous powder can be abrasive depending on its composition.

Before the project moves into loaded operation, the site team is checking relevant wear-contact areas and confirming equipment alignment.

Mechanical completion gives the team one final opportunity to inspect these points before continuous material begins moving through the system.

The Next Stage Is No Longer Construction

Electrical connections, motor direction, control logic and no-load operation now come next.

Material commissioning will follow only after those checks are completed.

For the Malaysian customer, the 3.5 t/h project is approaching the point where the installed machinery will stop being a construction project and begin functioning as a carbon pellet forming system.
