Recently, RICHI Machinery successfully commissioned a 5t/h chicken manure fertilizer pellet making line for a Vietnamese agribusiness client. The client operates multiple medium-scale poultry farms in the Mekong Delta region, a key agricultural hub in southern Vietnam. Facing rising demand for organic fertilizer and a need to manage large volumes of chicken manure sustainably, the client sought a solution to transform raw poultry waste into high-quality, nutrient-rich fertilizer pellets.

The raw material consists primarily of fresh chicken manure (40-50%), supplemented with rice husk (30-35%) and trace mineral additives (15-20%) to adjust nutrient content and moisture. The client required a continuous pelletizing system capable of handling varying moisture levels and ensuring uniform granule quality.

Plant Design and Production Process

The production flow is as follows:

  • Raw Material Preparation: Fresh chicken manure is collected and mixed with rice husk and mineral additives. Shredding ensures uniform particle size and facilitates smooth pellet formation. Moisture content is adjusted to 18–20% using a conditioner before pelletizing.
  • Pelletizing: The mixture is fed into a high-capacity ring die chicken manure pellet machine. The mill compresses the material into consistent 3–6 mm pellets, optimizing nutrient retention and structural integrity.
  • Cooling and Screening: Newly formed pellets are cooled in a rotary cooler to prevent deformation. Vibrating screens remove fines, ensuring uniform quality.
  • Packing and Storage: Automated bagging and storage systems streamline post-production handling, enabling ready-to-sell organic fertilizer pellets.

Additional systems include dust collectors, conveyors, and moisture monitoring devices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Equipment Configuration and Technical Details

The 5t/h chicken manure pellet making line includes the following fertilizer granulator machine:

  • Shredder: Reduces raw chicken manure and rice husk to uniform particle size
  • Single-shaft conditioner: Adjusts moisture and temperature to ensure optimal pellet formation
  • Ring die pellet mill: Produces 5 tons per hour of high-quality chicken manure pellets
  • Rotary cooler: Maintains pellet integrity and prevents breakage
  • Vibrating screen: Separates fines for consistent pellet size
  • Conveyors and automated packing system: Efficient material handling and storage

All equipment is optimized for continuous operation and adapted to Vietnam’s three-phase electrical system, ensuring stability and low energy consumption.
