Project Background and origin

This 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran is a feed factory expansion project. The client company is an enterprise integrating poultry feed processing and poultry feed breeding.

In August 2016, this customer built a construction project with an annual output of 90,000 tons of feed and 15 million broilers.

After several years of development, because the feed production of the customer company is currently running at full capacity and the supply exceeds demand, in 2022, the customer plans to expand the existing feed production scale and is still under construction in the original factory area.

According to the actual needs of customers, we customize a complete chicken feed mill expansion plan for customers and provide all feed equipment for the expansion project.

After the 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran expansion project is completed, the annual output of feed will be 160,000 tons, and 15 million broiler chickens will be put on the market annually (the sales scale of broiler chickens will remain unchanged). In addition to self-use feed, other feed will be sold to surrounding countries and regions.

Construction content and scale

The factory currently covers an area of 25,335m2. The existing buildings include feed production workshops, broiler sales sheds and cleaning sheds, warehouses, office buildings, dormitory buildings, canteens, sales service departments, boiler rooms, power distribution rooms, and guard rooms.

This expansion project does not require new land and relies on existing raw material warehouses, finished product warehouses, raw material silos, biomass boilers and other buildings.

Process design of 15 t/h chicken feed mill in Iran

This 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project only expands the scale of feed production. The sales scale of broiler chickens remains unchanged. The chicken feed production process is consistent with the existing engineering feed production process, as follows:

  1. After entering the chicken feed factory, corn and feed oil are stored in silos in the factory area. There are 6 silos in the factory area, which are used to store corn and feed oil respectively.
    Other raw materials are stored in the raw material warehouse after entering the factory. The raw materials are first crushed after passing through the feed port, and then temporarily stored in the corresponding batching bin.
  2. Relying on the existing chicken feed production line, the mixed enzyme yellow fertilizer, lysine, sodium chloride, threonine and other mixed trace elements, protein, feed oil and other crushed raw materials are directly mixed in the mixer in proportion.
  3. The mixed powder enters the warehouse to be granulated, and steam is introduced into the chicken feed granulator.
    The raw materials are basically not affected by external forces in the feeding area of the chicken feed pellet machine. With the rotation of the die roller, the raw materials enter the compression area. In this area, the raw materials are squeezed by the die roller, causing relative movement between the powders.
    As the raw materials advance forward, the extrusion force gradually increases, the moving speed accelerates, and a certain connection is formed between the raw materials. After the raw materials enter the extrusion zone, the extrusion force increases sharply, the powder materials are further tightened, and the contact surface is further increased.
    When the extrusion force continues to increase, the raw material with a certain density is extruded into the die hole. In the die hole, after a certain period of extrusion, pellet feed is formed.
  4. During the pelleting process, due to the introduction of high-temperature and high-humidity steam, and the extrusion of the raw materials to generate a large amount of heat, the moisture content of the chicken pellet feed reaches 16%~18% and the temperature reaches 75~85°C when it just comes out of the machine.
    Under such conditions, the feed is easily deformed and broken, and sticking and mildew will occur during storage. The moisture must be reduced to less than 14% and the temperature must be lowered to higher than room temperature, so cooling is required.
    In this 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project, a cooler is used to cool the formed feed. During the cooling process, a fan is used to cool the feed, which can reduce the moisture content of the feed to less than 12.5%.
    The feed that passes through the cooler can be sold as a finished product after being packaged.

Main chicken feed equipment list

This 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project purchased new feed production equipment from Richi Machinery, such as crushers, pulse dust collectors, mixers, chicken poultry feed pellet machines, crumblers, and double-bucket belt packaging scales, and installed them next to the feed production line in the existing production workshop.

This Iran chicken feed plant project plans to add a 3t twin-shaft paddle mixer to replace the existing twin-shaft high-efficiency mixer, and the remaining existing production equipment will continue to be produced.

Labor quota and work system

There will be no new employees in this 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project. In order to meet the needs of the new production capacity, the employees' working shifts after the expansion will be changed from the existing one shift to two shifts for production. There are currently 58 employees in the factory, all of whom have room and board in the factory.

The expansion project implements a two-shift system, each shift is eight hours, and the working hours are from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. The company works 280 days a year. The project does not produce at night.

Water suppl

The 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project water is supplied by the urban tap water supply pipe network. This expansion project mainly expands the scale of feed production. There is no production water in the feed production process and the project does not increase the labor capacity. Therefore, the expansion project does not add new production water and domestic water.

Drainage

The boiler dust removal water is recycled after settling in the sedimentation tank and is not discharged; the wastewater of this 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project is mainly the wastewater generated during the boiler soft water preparation process. The wastewater production volume is 0.96t/d, which is reused for cleaning the existing engineering broiler sales shed.

Power supply

This project is powered by the urban power grid, relying on the existing power supply system, with an annual power consumption of approximately 1 million kilowatt hours.

About the solid waste treatment

The solid waste of this 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project mainly comes from the debris generated during the impurity removal process, iron impurities generated during the iron removal process, dust collected by the pulse bag dust collector, waste packaging bags, and boiler slag.

Impurity removal process

The amount of debris generated by this expansion project is about 6t/a, which is general waste. After collection, it will be processed regularly by the environmental sanitation department.

Iron impurities are produced during the iron removal process

The amount of iron impurities produced in this expansion project is about 0.6t/a, which will be collected and sold to waste recycling companies.

Dust collected by dust collector

The amount of dust collected by the pulse bag dust collector in this project is 5.8627t/a, which is reused as raw material.

Waste packaging bags

The raw and auxiliary material packaging bags of the project are available in various specifications such as 20kg/bag, 40kg/bag, etc. The amount of waste packaging bags produced is about 1.4t/a, which is collected centrally and delivered to the waste collection station.

Boiler slag

The boiler forming biomass pellets in this 15t/h chicken feed mill in Iran project consume about 700t/a, and burning 100t of biomass produces 1.5t of slag. The slag generated in this expansion project is 10.5t/a, which will be collected and sold for use as building materials.
