The client is a medium-sized rice mill, processing around 80–100 tons of paddy per day. They produce high-quality rice for domestic markets, and rice husks were previously considered waste or lightly used as soil amendments. The decision to purchase a single rice husk pellet making machine was driven by:

The primary feedstock is 100% rice husks, directly collected from milling operations. Occasionally, the client adds small amounts of shredded coconut husks, common in Costa Rica, to slightly enhance pellet density, though these additions rarely exceed 10%.

This rice husk pellet machine in Costa Rica allows the mill to produce roughly 8–10 tons of rice husk pellets per day, matching the available husk supply while providing manageable production volumes for testing market demand. The smaller MZLH350 would not meet demand, whereas larger machines like the MZLH520 would be oversized for a medium-scale facility.
The rice husk pellet machine was shipped via sea freight to the Port of Limón, Costa Rica’s primary Atlantic port. From there, the machine was transported by truck to the mill in the Central Valley.
