A poultry pellet making machine for feed plant in Myanmar became the strategic investment for a new feed manufacturing facility in the Yangon region, near the Thilawa Special Economic Zone. Myanmar's poultry industry has been growing steadily, with feed demand increasing as small farms transition to more intensive production.
The feed plant we worked with was a greenfield project—a completely new facility designed to produce 100,000 tons of broiler and layer feed annually. The plant owners had purchased all other equipment locally: hammer mills from Thailand, a mixer from China, and a cooler from Vietnam. What they needed was a poultry pellet making machine that could be integrated with these different components.

Before contacting us, the plant owners had evaluated pellet mills from Thai and Indian manufacturers. The equipment was adequate, but prices were high relative to the capacity. A feed industry consultant who had visited RICHI's factory in Jiaozuo recommended our SZLH series as the best value for their new plant. The plant did not have any existing pelleting equipment. What they needed was a reliable, mid-range poultry pellet making machine for their greenfield feed plant.
After a detailed review of their target production volume—100,000 tons annually—we recommended the SZLH350 ring die pellet mill with a 55kW main motor. This model is ideally sized for a medium-scale feed plant, producing 5-6 tons per hour.

The plant owner reported that the SZLH350 integrated easily with the other equipment because of its standard dimensions and control interfaces.
We spoke with the plant owner about 14 months after delivery:
"This poultry pellet making machine for feed plant has been the heart of our new facility. We chose RICHI because of the value for money and the good references from other plants in the region.
The mill runs about 12 hours per day, 6 days per week. We have put about 4,500 hours on it. The 3.5mm starter dies lasted 900 hours, the 4.0mm finisher dies 1,200 hours, and the 4.5mm layer dies are still in good condition after 1,500 hours.
The only issue we had was with the local electrical supply. The voltage fluctuates, which affected the motor performance. We installed a voltage stabilizer as you recommended, and the mill has run smoothly since. We are planning to order a second SZLH350 for our planned expansion.

Important note on aquafeed: The SZLH350 is not suitable for floating fish feed or sinking shrimp feed.
The SZLH350 was shipped from Qingdao to the Port of Yangon, Myanmar's largest seaport—about 15 days at sea. From Yangon, truck transport to the Thilawa region took approximately 30 kilometers. Total transit time was about 20 days.
The plant has now ordered a second SZLH350 for their expansion and is evaluating the SZLH420 for a future high-capacity line.
