This is a project about a pig feed grinder machine in Thailand. In 2025, a medium-scale pig farm located in the Nakhon Pathom province of Thailand made the decision to upgrade part of its feed processing setup by purchasing a single pig feed grinder machine from RICHI Machinery. The farm had been expanding steadily over the past few years, increasing its swine population to over 2,500 heads, with ambitions to serve both the local pork market and regional meat processors.
Prior to the purchase, the customer relied on an aging horizontal grinder with inconsistent grinding performance and limited capacity, especially when handling harder grains like corn and sorghum. This inconsistency was negatively impacting the uniformity and digestibility of the final pig feed, particularly for piglets and grower-finisher pigs.
Rather than overhauling the entire production system, the customer chose to replace the outdated grinder with a standalone water-drop type grain hammer mill, aiming for better control over feed particle size and improved energy efficiency.
