With increasing demand for high-quality beef in the local and regional markets, the farm decided to upgrade part of its feed processing system. Instead of purchasing a complete feed line, the owner opted to invest in a single feed grinder machine to complement the existing hay choppers and mixers. The main goal was to boost feed production efficiency and improve the nutritional consistency of the formulated cattle feed.

Before acquiring the feed grinder, the maize and sunflower cake were ground manually or using small household-level crushers, resulting in inconsistent particle size. The livestock feed grinder from RICHI now allows the farm to achieve uniform grinding, targeting a particle size of 2–4 mm, which is ideal for digestibility and feed intake in adult cattle.
The farm’s owner had already invested in a horizontal feed mixer and a small-scale pellet press from another local supplier a year ago. However, the inconsistency in ground materials was a major bottleneck affecting feed quality.
