A fertilizer processor in Tartu County uses one FZLH350 pellet machine to form 8 mm fertilizer pellets from stabilized poultry litter, separated cattle-manure solids and prepared cereal residues.

A regional fertilizer processor in Tartu County selected an FZLH350 for its High Quality Fertilizer Pellet Machinery in Estonia project to strengthen the forming stage for stabilized livestock-manure products. The business receives separated dairy-manure solids, composted poultry litter and seasonal cereal residues from nearby suppliers, then produces pelletized fertilizer for farms, horticultural users and regional distributors.
The customer already operated manure receiving, compost maturation, crushing, mixing, moisture adjustment, conveying and finished-product handling, so the purchase remained a standalone pelletizing upgrade. The FZLH350 provides about 3–5 T/H reference capacity on properly prepared fertilizer, which suits scheduled production campaigns without forcing the company to replace useful upstream and downstream equipment.

Southern Estonia provides a credible setting because dairy farming, poultry production and cereal cultivation can support several organic-material streams within one collection area. The organic fertilizer production project is not based on one farm supplying all input. The processor aggregates qualified material from multiple agricultural businesses, giving the FZLH350 organic fertilizer pellet machine a steadier feedstock base and reducing dependence on one livestock cycle or harvest season.
Barley, oats and wheat residues are particularly relevant as seasonal carbon materials, while manure supplies continue on a different schedule. The plant therefore stores mature compost and prepared dry fibre separately before formulation. This operating model gives the customer more control over moisture, carbon balance and batch consistency than feeding fresh manure and chopped straw directly into the pelletizer whenever each material arrives.

The FZLH350 fertilizer granulator machine is large enough to replace a low-output forming stage without creating the utility and buffer demands of a much larger machine. An FZLH320 would leave less hourly reserve for commercial campaigns, while an FZLH420 would require more mature material, electrical capacity and downstream cooling to stay well utilized. The 3–5 T/H class therefore matches the customer's incremental expansion strategy more closely.
The 37 kW main motor works with a 2.2 kW anti-bridging feeder and 0.75 kW forced feeder so prepared organic material can enter the ring-die chamber more steadily. These devices help with low-density or cohesive fertilizer blends, but they do not replace screening, crushing or moisture control. Long straw, wet manure and large compost lumps still have to be prepared before they reach the machine.
Fresh poultry manure and cattle slurry are not routed straight to pelletizing. Poultry litter first undergoes biological stabilization, while liquid or semi-liquid cattle manure is better handled through collection and solid separation before the solids enter composting or another suitable stabilization route. This prevents the FZLH350 from being treated as a dryer or manure-treatment system when its actual job is mechanical forming.
Cereal straw is used as a carbon and structural material during compost preparation rather than as a guaranteed pellet binder. The plant reduces long fibres before final mixing, and clean untreated sawdust can be included when moisture balance needs more dry carbon. Neither material receives a permanent percentage because fibre, ash, moisture and nutrient dilution differ between batches and affect fertilizer analysis and pelletizing behaviour.
The factory does not use one fixed chicken-manure-to-cattle-manure recipe. Mature batches are formulated from actual nutrient analysis, organic matter, moisture and the commercial product target. The pellet machine cannot create nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium or organic matter, so nutrient quality is established before forming. The FZLH350 only gives a prepared fertilizer mixture a controlled physical shape for handling and distribution.
The High Quality Fertilizer Pellet Machinery in Estonia operates after the difficult biological and moisture-control work has already been completed. This process boundary is important for a retrofit because the customer can keep its composting and preparation equipment while adding more consistent ring-die forming. It also prevents fresh-manure problems from being misdiagnosed as pelletizer problems during daily production.
Moisture is set from actual material behaviour rather than one permanent 18–22% figure. A blend that is too wet can feed poorly and produce soft pellets, while an overly dry mixture can create dust and greater compression resistance. Operators therefore evaluate feeder stability, motor load, pellet surface, fines and cooling together, then use drying or moisture adjustment only when the mature formulation requires it.
Particle preparation follows the same principle. Long straw fibres and compacted compost pieces are reduced before the forced feeder, but the plant does not claim that one screen opening produces one exact feed size. Mature manure compost fractures differently from cereal fibre, so the operator controls the overall particle distribution that supports stable feeding and 8 mm pellet formation rather than chasing a single millimetre value.
The customer's principal product uses an 8 mm ring die, a practical size within the FZLH350 range of 4–12 mm for bagging, bulk handling and mechanical spreading. Another die can be installed if a buyer requests a different physical format. Diameter selection is kept separate from agronomic claims because a larger or smaller pellet does not by itself create higher nutrient content, controlled release or better crop response.
Finished pellets are cooled before storage and then screened to separate qualified product from fines and broken pieces. A rise in fines can point to poor moisture balance, inadequate particle preparation, die wear or rough conveying, so screening also acts as process feedback. Cooling is not used as a substitute for upstream drying, and recycle is controlled so repeated fines do not distort the formulation or moisture balance.
Commercial quality control covers more than pellet appearance. The processor verifies moisture, organic matter, nutrient analysis, ash and other parameters required for the product it intends to sell. Compliance with Estonian or EU fertilizer rules depends on feedstock, contaminants, analytical results, labeling and product category, so purchasing an FZLH350 does not by itself make every pellet legally compliant or suitable for organic farming.
The pelletizing section requires more than the 37 kW main drive. Anti-bridging and forced feeding, upstream crushing, conveyors, cooling, screening and dust control all add to the simultaneous electrical load. The plant therefore checks transformer capacity, motor starting, cable sizing and protection for the full section. Enough service space is also reserved around the 350 mm ring-die platform for roller and die maintenance.
For machinery moving to southern Estonia, Muuga Harbour provides a practical cargo gateway before inland road transport toward Tartu County. The final route depends on vessel service, cargo dimensions and the customer's freight plan, so no fixed transit or customs period is used. Foundation details, infeed and discharge elevations, electrical service and maintenance access can be prepared from confirmed installation drawings before arrival.
A 3–5 T/H pelletizer can produce more material in one shift than many regional fertilizer businesses need each day, so utilization is planned around mature-compost inventory and sales rather than continuous operation. At about 4 T/H for six effective hours, one campaign can form roughly 24 tonnes before startup, cleaning and product-transition allowances. Annual output therefore depends on campaign frequency as well as machine rating.
Future expansion starts with the section that actually limits saleable fertilizer. If compost maturation, moisture adjustment, cooling or packaging is already full, another pelletizer would add installed power without increasing finished output. The customer first uses available hours on the FZLH350 and tracks where material accumulates before considering a parallel machine, a larger cooler or more upstream preparation capacity.
For another buyer evaluating High Quality Fertilizer Pellet Machinery in Estonia, RICHI Machinery would review manure type, solid-liquid separation, stabilization method, mature-material moisture, cereal-fibre content, particle condition, target pellet diameter, hourly demand, campaign schedule, mixer and cooler capacity, electrical supply and available workshop dimensions before confirming the most suitable FZLH model.
