However, with fluctuating feed prices and concerns about quality consistency, the farm made a strategic decision to begin producing its own feed.
In early 2025, a growing poultry farm located near Chiclayo, in the Lambayeque region of northern Peru, approached RICHI Machinery with the goal of optimizing its broiler chicken feed production.
The customer — a medium-sized family-owned poultry farm — was raising approximately 45,000 broiler chickens and had been relying on external feed suppliers for years. However, with fluctuating feed prices and concerns about quality consistency, the farm made a strategic decision to begin producing its own feed.
This was not a full chicken feed production line setup. The farm had already invested in a small feed mixer and planned to buy a chicken feed pellet machine later that year.
But before anything else, the farm needed a chicken feed milling machine — more specifically, a grain crushing machine that could process the farm’s own locally sourced corn and other raw ingredients efficiently and reliably. The crushing process was the foundation of their in-house feed production plan, and the success of the entire operation depended on getting the right grinder.
