The client is an aquaculture company located in Thailand, with 150 hectares of aquaculture water surface, mainly breeding Nile tilapia and giant tiger shrimp, with an annual output of about 6,000 tons.
As the Thai government promotes the "Thailand 4.0" economic strategy, the traditional small-scale decentralized farming model is rapidly transforming to modern intensive farming, and this transformation has put forward higher requirements for feed quality.

In terms of aqua feed machine selection, the customer put forward four core requirements:
The fish shrimp feed production line in Thailand project will adopt a raw material supply chain with Thai characteristics. The protein source of fish feed is a combination of imported fish meal (20%) and local shrimp head meal (15%), while shrimp feed uses imported fish meal (25%) and squid meal (10%) to provide high-quality protein.
The energy raw materials mainly use local Thai cassava (30%) and broken rice (20%), which are first processed by a high-efficiency grinder to a fineness of 80 mesh to ensure digestion and absorption rate. 3% cassava starch and 1.5% alginate are added as natural binders. This formula can make the shrimp feed pellets stable in water for more than 6 hours.

In the raw material pretreatment stage, various components are fully mixed by a high-efficiency mixer, and the coefficient of variation is controlled within 5%. The conditioning system uses our specially designed enlarged conditioner with a diameter of 1.2 meters and a length of 3.5 meters, providing a conditioning time of up to 90 seconds, so that the starch gelatinization degree reaches more than 85%.
The shrimp feed pellet machine adopts a three-layer ring die design, which can quickly replace the ring dies with different apertures of 0.8mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 2.0mm as needed to meet the various particle size requirements from shrimp fry feed to adult fish feed.
The pelletizing temperature of fish feed is controlled at 85-90℃, while that of shrimp feed is controlled at 75-80℃ to protect heat-sensitive nutrients. The pellets are dried at 80℃ for 20 minutes in a three-layer belt dryer to reduce the moisture content to less than 10%.

In view of the breeding environment in Thailand, the formula has made a number of special adjustments.
Add 1% organic acid combination to improve intestinal health; use 2% yeast culture to enhance immunity; strictly control copper content within the range of 25-30mg/kg to avoid water pollution. These adjustments improved the FCR of fish feed to 1.5 and the FCR of shrimp feed to 1.2, significantly improving the breeding efficiency.
In this project, the customized fish and shrimp feed pelletizing machine system with three-layer conditioner is undoubtedly the biggest highlight.
The equipment installation and commissioning of this fish shrimp feed production line in Thailand project took five weeks, and our engineering team made a number of customized adjustments for Thailand's working conditions.
Strengthen the equipment ventilation system to cope with high temperature environment; install moisture-proof devices in all electrical cabinets; and specially design anti-ant measures to protect cable lines. These detailed improvements enabled the equipment to reach 95% of the designed capacity in the first month of production.
Operational data show that the actual capacity of the system is stable at 2.1-2.2 tons/hour, exceeding the contract guarantee value by 5-10%. The product quality fully meets the standards, the durability index (PDI) of fish feed pellets reaches 96%, and the stability of shrimp feed in water reaches 5-6 hours.
The energy consumption performance is excellent, and the comprehensive energy consumption per ton of product is 18% lower than the customer's original plan.
The feedback from the farm is extremely positive. After using self-produced feed, the growth rate of tilapia increased by 20%, and the breeding cycle was shortened from 180 days to 150 days. The survival rate of shrimp farming increased by 8 percentage points, and the uniformity was significantly improved. The comprehensive cost of feed decreased by 38%, and it is expected that the entire investment can be recovered in 2.3 years.
What makes customers even more satisfied is that the formula can be flexibly adjusted according to different seasons and breeding density, such as adding immune enhancers in the rainy season and increasing vitamin C content in the high temperature period. These refined operations have greatly improved the breeding efficiency.

The government encourages the use of local raw materials to replace imported fish meal and provides a 15% purchase subsidy; the demand for functional feed is growing rapidly, such as special formulas such as enhancing immunity and improving meat quality; environmental protection requirements are constantly improving, promoting the development of low-pollution feed technology. These changes bring new opportunities for feed processing equipment.
