This 15-20t/h chicken and fish feed mill in Ghana project is a reconstruction and expansion project.
The existing project covers an area of 3061.99m2, with a construction area of 2400m2. The total project investment is $1.2 million. The annual output of mixed feed is 176,500 tons/year.
There are 30 employees, all of whom have room and board in the factory. The existing project is equipped with a liquefied petroleum gas-fired boiler, which works 300 days a year and operates 8 hours a day.
At present, due to the development of the company and changes in the market, the Ghana feed company plans to renovate and expand the existing raw material warehouse. After the reconstruction and expansion:
- The area will remain unchanged, the chicken and fish feed production process will remain unchanged.
- The production capacity will be expanded.
- The boiler fuel will be changed from liquefied petroleum gas to natural gas.
- Fish meal will not be added to the auxiliary materials, and the remaining raw material types will remain unchanged.
The total investment in this 15-20t/h chicken and fish feed mill in Ghana renovation and expansion project is $1.4 million. The annual output of this reconstruction and expansion project is 120,000 tons of mixed feed.
This aqua animal feed mill machine project will not increase the labor capacity and will be deployed from existing projects. The project will work for 300 days per year. , the working system was changed to three shifts, with each shift working 8 hours.
The mixed feed produced by this 15-20t/h feed mill in Ghana project includes chicken feed and fish feed. The annual output of the original project was 176,500 t/a. After the expansion, the annual output of this feed will reach 296,500 t/a.

Expanding the existing raw material warehouse, adding 2 crushers, 2 mixers, 1 granulator, 2 automatic packaging machines, 3 automatic palletizers, 2 conveyor belts, 1 extruder, ultrafine 2 crushers.
- Office: 1 building with 3 floors, construction area of 1260m2, relying on the original.
- Boiler room: Located on the south side of the factory, with a construction area of 160m2, it is equipped with a liquefied petroleum gas boiler. Relying on the existing boiler, the fuel is changed to natural gas.
- Raw material warehouse: Located on the southwest side of the factory, with a construction area of 2,000m2. Relying on the original, the production workshop of the 15-20t/h chicken and fish feed mill in Ghana project will be constructed on the northwest side of the warehouse, with a construction area of approximately 340m2.
- Finished product warehouse: Located on the northeast side of the factory, with a construction area of 1800m2, relying on the original.

Labor quota and work system

Chicken feed pellet process flow
The pelleting process used in chicken feed is as follows:
- Purchase raw materials and put them into warehouse:
Stack the purchased raw materials in the raw material warehouse, and store the corn in the cylindrical warehouse;
- Crushing:
The material is transported to the pulverizer for feeding. The feeding port is semi-closed. There is an exhaust device above the feeding process. The feeding dust is collected by the exhaust and then enters the bag dust collector for processing.
The crushing process is fully enclosed, and the raw materials are broken into suitable sizes by a crusher for processing; there is a ventilation port inside the crusher, and its main function is to balance the air pressure in the crusher. A bag dust collector is installed at the ventilation port. The collected dust is reused in production;
- Mixing:
The crushed raw materials are mixed in proportion through a closed pipe and then transported to the mixer for mixing and mixing; there is an exhaust device above the feed port of the mixer, and the feed dust is collected by the exhaust and then enters the bag dust collector for processing.
The mixing process is fully enclosed. There is a ventilation port in the mixer. Its main function is to balance the air pressure in the mixer. A bag dust collector is installed at the ventilation port to reuse the collected dust for production;
- Granulation:
The stirred raw materials are transported to the chicken feed pelletizer through a closed pipeline. The boiler uses natural gas as fuel to provide steam. The raw materials are heated and matured into granules. The aging time is about 30 minutes;
- Cooling:
The granulated feed is air-cooled through the cooling tower equipped with the chicken animal feed granulator;
- Sewing packages:
Use a sewing machine to sew the cooled feed products into packages for easy storage and transportation;
- Departure from the factory:
Use trucks to transport the feed out of the factory area.
Fish feed production process flow

The boiler uses natural gas as fuel to provide steam, and the raw materials are processed at high temperature (90-95°C). The raw materials are cooked for a period of time under high temperature, high humidity, and high pressure.
During this process, the raw materials The physical and chemical properties undergo drastic changes (mainly starch gelatinization and protein denaturation).
The moisture in the feed is converted from liquid to gaseous state, and is emitted from the feed, causing the material to expand, forming expanded feed, which is then cut into uniform pieces by the cutter of the fish pellet extruder. The granular form is sent to the next process for drying.
- Drying:
Extruded feed contains a certain amount of moisture (25-30%), and excess moisture must be removed through a dryer attached to the fish food extruder to control the moisture content at about 13%. During the drying process, steam is provided through the boiler to heat and dry the moisture.
- Oil injection:
The dried feed enters the oil injection machine of the extruder through a closed pipe, and soybean oil is added and stirred evenly so that the oil is evenly sprayed on the surface of the feed, which can improve the palatability of the feed and reduce the powder content.
- Cooling:
The pellet feed is cooled under natural ventilation.
- Finished products:
After passing the inspection, they will be packaged by a baler and put into storage for sale.

Project water is provided by municipal water supply pipes. The water used in existing fish feed production line projects is mainly boiler steam supplementary water and domestic water. The boiler steam supplementary water consumption is 0.1m3/d (30m3/a), and the domestic water consumption is 3.2m3/d (960m3/a).
- Reconstruction and expansion project:

Drainage facilities

- Existing projects:
The project drainage adopts a rainwater and sewage diversion system. Rainwater is collected in pipes and then discharged into the rainwater drainage system. The boiler wastewater in existing projects is treated and recycled without being discharged. The discharged wastewater is mainly domestic sewage. The discharge volume of domestic sewage is 2.88m3/d (864t/a). It is discharged into the local river after being treated by the third-level septic tank and the second-level biochemical tank to meet the standards.
- Renovation and expansion project:
This 15-20t/h chicken and fish feed mill in Ghana project will not add new boilers, and there will be no new boiler wastewater; this reconstruction and expansion project will not add new labor capacity, and will be allocated from existing projects, and no new domestic sewage will be added.
